Hey so I started to draw a different style to normal. But I really need help with mostly the face and proportion

Ive not added any proper detail yet just the outline

EDIT:

I'm going to fix the hair now, if you could maybe advise me on the face and proportion of the body to the head?

I think the head/face needs to be a bit bigger and I think the right shoulder needs to come in a little?

thanks anyway really appreciate it

I don't draw so I might not be much help, but I think the basic shape and things looks good! I do think that the head is a little small and maybe the shoulders are little too wide and high, looks good so far though!!

aww thank you, yeah I thought so haha I'll have to play around with the shoulders thanks!

The head doesn't really look too small (maybe just a tiny bit,) it's the shoulders that need work. Also, her elbows are too pointy, even if you're going for stylization. If you want, I can redline the pic for you after I nap.

Hahaha maybe her head looks smaller because she has big shoulders haha that would be really great.... Whatever redline is haha only if you have the spare time

Not every woman has small shoulders, mine look much like the ones in the picture. I think you should add the details now and make changes as you see fit. I think this is great for an outline.

Though the left shoulder is up a little too high. I personally don't mind it. I don't like things to look perfect.

I know there are tips and tricks to doing proportions. It's like using the head itself as measurement and stuff. There should be plenty of guides online.

Yeah very true, I myself have quite broad shoulders. I think ill fix that left shoulder up and then once I've added detail and that just change it as I go along since I probably will end up changing the hair style. Thanks for your input! I think sometimes when you draw you try to get everything 'perfect' whatever that means to you and you forget that there are people who are different and people who have imperfections

Yeah I'm not very good with that head trick hahah but ill see if there are others thanks

So Ive messed around with it, i think the short hair instead of plait?- what it is Im going to TRY and do it black and white and then do a coloured tattoo on her back maybe

Do you think if I re do her hips it will look like her back in completely turned because now I think it looks like shes off to the side slightly? hahaha

Best way is to do a rough sketch of the pose before hair or anything fancy lol. Be sure to mark where the center of each limb is. It's quite hard to explain.. D:

If I were to do a drawing like that I'd start with sketching some very, very rough poses to determine which one is less awkward haha.. ;_; Later you can refine the proportions depending on what kind of anatomy you're going for. (moeblob, chibi etc)
