Anyone else feels... nervous?

I am not nervous or worried at all.
I am completely confident that the game will meet and exceed all of my expectations!
Of course I'd love to see new footage and information, but I don't need it to feel good about the game. It would just be the cherry on the top to have something to look at while waiting.

Maybe this could help you feel better about everything:

This video is basically everything I'd say. We have nothing to worry about.

I think anxious would be a more fitting word for most peoples concerns.

Myself? I'm not nervous but I'm certainly anxious to get the game into the Switch. Mixed with just a little bit of excited ;)

I’m somewhat worried. A lot of Nintendo’s recent games have had some feature that dampens my enthusiasm somewhat, and with few other games on the horizon right now, I’m worried that Nintendo’s hiding something out of fear of backlash. Sure, the AC community is a little different from those of other franchises, and perhaps traditional marketing isn’t as important. But there are a number of features that really improved my experience in ACNL that haven’t been discussed so far in ACNH footage, and I want more information. And coming off of Pok?mon, as a long-time fan who was both surprised and dismayed by Dexit, I don’t want to take any AC series “staples” for granted; I don’t really know what features might be safe, and which ones might unexpectedly end up on the chopping block.

I’m getting the game regardless at this point, and I suppose that sort of attitude is exactly why Nintendo doesn’t need to release more info. A lot of us will buy it anyway. But yes, I would definitely say that I have some degree of nerves mixed with my anticipation for ACNH’s release.

Nope, I'm probably the only one who isn't.

Not the only one! I'm not worried either. If anything, I'm just excited. I'm even more excited now that I'm revisiting New Leaf and trying to develop my town by the time New Horizons comes out. It is like my own little challenge!

I'm not worried either tbh. Just excited for the game to come out.
Lack of info doesn't mean they're pushing it aside. It's just their way of marketing I guess. Especially with a huge IP like Animal Crossing.

There are some good points, but the point about Nintendo wanting to make themselves out as more "mature"? That frustrates me. I flock to Nintendo BECAUSE of games like Animal Crossing. I like being able to enjoy watching Directs without worrying about gross, violent trailers all over the place.

Also, the argument that they aren't showing more footage because they are confident in the game does sound good on paper, but it can also mean the very opposite. I'll give one major example: The Sims 4. EA showed it off in at one E3, and then went an entire year without giving any new information, even though it was releasing imminently. Granted, the original trailer didn't instill much confidence in that game, whereas I think Animal Crossing New Horizon's was much better. The thing is, when The Sims 4 had that underwhelming trailer and then went an entire year with little to no info, it left me unambiguously with the feeling "They're not revealing anything else, because they have nothing else to show". Low and behold, that was true. The Sims 4 was an empty game with very little new to offer.

Of course, Nintendo isn't E3, and I think that New Horizons will be excellent. But I can't help but wonder if there is something that they're worried about and that's why we're not seeing more.

Have they not given us enough? We are 4 weeks away. Let's be patient and experience the game for ourselves.

They didn't actually "give" us much of anything though iirc. 65% of the things we're finding out is from leaked pics, other country ads, etc.

@Envy ugh, Sims 4 and EA is why I have absolutely no confidence in them for any Sims 5. However, Nintendo does have a good track record with their games. I don't remember any of their games recently that has been one of their main IPs and have been a total flop. Like, within the past two years. Zelda was great, Mario was fantastic, Splatoon is super fun and even made a crossover with AC.

A bit more news would be nice, but I'm getting this strange feeling that we just aren't going to get anything more about it. I really hope I'm wrong about it.

I'm not nervous at all! I want to know basically nothing to keep it a surprise for myself!

Yeah, that's what I am feeling as well. I am too optimistic, but just why won't you boast a little? It reminds me of Pokemon when they overboasted a lot, and the game turned out to be not so good. But marketing still paid up.

Boast?
About what?

Boast means brag, which makes no sense. :)

A company can boast about its game to improve sales and increase hype. For instance, Activision Blizzard often boasts about their new Call of Duty game every year claiming that it is bigger and better than the older ones.

Huh?

I was replying to a post that asked why I don't boast. It made no sense.

I think when d3_3p asked why you won't boast a little, he was referring to Nintendo.

I'm not really worried. I don't really feel like the coverage of the game is far off from what I remember for new leaf.

I also see all the new themed merch and consoles sold out almost instantly and sell out upon restock. So, I think it's safe to say the game fan base is still very relevant.

You're understandably paranoid imo. The thing is there's actually been one or two short commercials for it, and we're still over a month from release. They can't advertise more until they're ready to show more core features or new visuals of characters and locations.

Honestly I feel the same. :/ I wish that Nintendo would embrace it since I tend to like games like AC that don't get as much attention on other consoles.

But now we're going to have a Direct so we'll have to see what they show off! :)

The game is not exactly free. I feel they have to at least describe in detail what people we be getting for their 60 dollars.

Not true. They didn't pull $60 price out of thin air, nor is Animal Crossing some new unheard of idea. That's the asking price of games nowadays. What do you get? Sorry, but what we get is a mainline Animal Crossing game. If you are new to the series I have just 1 suggestions for you.

1. Buy the game no matter what.
