Anyone else LOVE AC New Years?

I think every year except once I've celebrated the countdown for New Years in AC! (one year I was even at a temple in line and still whipped it out haha) I love it and I think that NH did it even better than NL

I work New Year’s Eve so I’m always to tired to stay up til midnight. I play earlier in the evening but it was difficult because my dog is scared of the fireworks and was crawling all over me trying to hide. I’ll go back to the countdown some time today

They really went all out with NYE, down to the villagers staying up all night and having special dialogue by 4am where they’re struggling not to sleep. Love the relaxing New Year’s Day music too! It’s all the more special for only playing that day afaik.

I didn't get the chance to celebrate new years in NH both 2021 and 2020 : ( new years in NH does seem very fun however

Honestly my favorite part is the music on new year's day. It's so relaxing.

I was so shocked by this today, I didn’t play last New Year’s Day either so I had no idea there was special music today— I think it’s one of the best background soundtracks in the whole game, I love it so much!

The only thing that bothers me is that 3 villagers always stay in their houses. Otherwise it's great, and since the sale of fireworks wasn't allowed here this year which obviously didn't keep people from obtaining some anyway that was our replacement.

It looks very fun and festive! I didn't get to celebrate it this year since I only got the game on Christmas and couldn't update everything fast enough but hopefully next year I'll see the big countdown with my town ^^

I can't remember off-hand if I've ever done the New Year's Eve celebrations in the other AC games, but I've done the New Year's Eve celebration for NH both years and I've enjoyed it! It's handled very well and it's definitely a nice way to kick in the new year.

Having new years on AC is what saves my mental health every year. New Years has always emotionally been a hard time for me, but to be able to spend it with my villagers (and to this year have my only friend there too) makes it a lot more tolerable.

i love new years in animal crossing as well, especially since i never have any plans or people to celebrate with irl. my favourite celebration is new horizons’ since the quality makes the whole celebration and the fireworks look so much more gorgeous. i also love how the villagers wave their light sticks during the final 10 seconds of the countdown; it’s so cute!

New Years is my favorite event in the game. I especially love the music and how it changes the closer to midnight you get.

I dont see New years as a big deal so irl i never celebrate. Every year without fail im in AC whichever title it may be trying to stay awake until midnight to celebrate with my villagers, ive been doing it for so many years now ive made my own tradition for New Years
