There's no way I could possibly NOT get this game. If I didn't have the money, I'd sell my blood...or my soul.
I've owned a Switch since 2017 with the expectation that this very game would eventually make it to market.

I don't have a switch... or the fund to buy one, so it will probably around autumn before I get one, maybe if work picks up, summer.

Wow I can't imagine waiting until that long and seeing everyone already playing when the game drops. Very sorry to hear that but I know you won't be alone. But that feeling is one of the things I hate the most.
I will join you in waiting. I am always late to get new consoles and games. I just got the PS4 not too long ago.
I could technically afford a Switch and the game with my tax refund, but there are so many home improvements and bills that the money really needs to go towards instead. So I'm going to be a proper adult and put my responsibilities above luxuries.
I don't really mind too much, though. I will enjoy following everyone else's posts and learning about the game. By the time I can finally afford it, I'll know everything I could possibly want to know about the game. I prefer playing with guides versus doing everything blindly.

Oof I know that feel that's why I gotta wait till my bday. Plus my money's going towards a new 3ds xl currently. I'm surprised a pre-owned one is still in the hundreds in cost.

At first it looked like as I had to wait longer till I can get the game due to the fact that I didn't own a Switch. But now since I do have one, I will get it on release day. I waited so for a new AC game, I can't wait any longer at this point, lol.

I dunno if I can afford it yet, that's a whole month and a half-ish away. Money is always tight with my family so it depends on what we have that month, plus other factors. I usually get one game a year, if lucky. This would be my one game all year then. (Not that I'm complaining!) All I can do is wait and see. But if I DO have to wait, the nearest time I'll be able to afford it is Christmas, so.... Yeah. Here's hoping I can get it in March!

I remember during 2017, I couldn't get a Switch because 1: I didn't have the money to get it. And 2: They were in shortage.
I had to wait until August to finally get one, so I had Mario Kart 8 Deluxe when it got out, but didn't have a Switch for 4 months.
Now that I have a Switch and Switch Lite, I can get AC Switch no problem. Also, since my sibling preordered the game for me I only have to spend 10$ on it. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting it on release day.

Yeah, I'm not getting it on release. I don't think I'll have to wait as long as you though. But it might be nice to know exactly what you're getting when the day comes!
I think video game companies are good at instilling that fear of missing out, but the game isn't going anywhere.
Maybe you can play one of the older games in the mean time? One you've never tried before (if there is one)!
