Anyone else save letters from their villagers?

I save some letters. Sometimes for the contents and/or because of the attachment to the villager who sent it, like a nice letter that I think fits their character. I'll also usually keep villagers' goodbye letters if they move out, especially if they're someone I was really fond of. In New Leaf, I also kept some letters just for the sake of it because I wanted to utilize the letters as extra storage space for stuff I wanted to keep but couldn't fit anywhere else.

I saved some letters mostly from villagers I used to have and left my island. I used to try to keep one of each but there was a minor letter bug where I didn't get letters until the next patch so I missed some so I keep the photos instead.

I like the ones from normals, sisterly, and lazy villagers the best. Some of the peppy ones are pretty funny

Sometimes I get such super sweet and motivating letters that I can't delete them! I'll even go back and read them if I'm feeling down, and they usually help me feel a lil better!

I inadvertently save them just because I'm lazy. Whichever ones replace the old ones, I just keep up to 300. Lol. If I could be bothered, I would honestly just delete most of them.

i used to a lot on NL but then i noticed i never read them again so now i just don't bother, sometimes i will take a screenshot if i particularly like a letter but that is it. i have no idea what letters i have saved in my games and i am not prepared tog o down that rabbit hole just yet

I do! I love that feature in new leaf where the post office can store some specifically. I like to keep leaving letters from my favourite villagers, ones from my closer villagers or ones from friends as well. I star all letters from friends in NH!

When I first started New Leaf I wanted to save all the letters I got from ALL my villagers (minus duplicates, of course), but I quickly ran out of space, eheh. Now I just try to keep letters from my permanent villagers, along with goodbye letters from the villagers who move away, and some select others, like the Father's Day letter from the player's dad. If I run out of letter storage space again, I'll probably try to cut down the letters I save from my permanent villagers to just the uncommon or particularly sweet/touching ones.

i save unique ones the first time i get them if they're from villagers i really like! i also save letters from mom. with animal crossing new horizons now i screenshot the ones i sort of like, but not enough to save them in-game.

I do the same! I always keep the really sweet ones - most of them are from Bob lmao. I look through them when I'm sad, they always cheer me up :]

Really big fan of the villager letters and I try to keep as many as possible, sometimes I don't even open them until days later because it feels like a present. My inbox is always full of mail from friends and stuff too so I try to keep those too, I'm a collector by heart and can't help it.

I’ll save all of my letters from Mac, Bones, Goldie, and Bea. I feel bad deleting letters. I get the sweetest letters from Goldie.

Maybe like one from each villager I've had, or if their letter particularly amused or touched me. Mostly I just throw them away now, cos I have so many I just didn't bother throwing out that I am at nearly full capacity in my mailbox. I didn't save all of them deliberately, just a few, but just haven't been bothered enough to go through them all yet. Maybe I should make that a priority now.

I really wish there were a mass delete option for letters. I hate having to toss them one by one. It’s a real pain, and I honestly have no idea why an option to mass delete letters hasn’t been implemented yet. It could be as simple as selecting multiple letters and pressing “delete all.” They have this option for selling items at Nook’s store, so why not for deleting letters?

I know right? That's why I've never done it haha. I also wish we could select multiples when redeeming nook miles too. Took me ages to cash in a load for bell tickets when I was terraforming.

Dizzy once mailed me a letter with "the scent of barbecue sauce" on it, "I bet it'll disappear after a day. Make sure you sniff it soon!"

I keep all 'goodbye' letters. It also serves as a way of tracking who left and when.

sksk honestly I don't keep any of them I've been playing more for decorating my town lately than anything else, the letters just seem to be very repetitive and extremely frequent no matter friendship levels.
