yeahhhhhh, for sure it feels like there are more one-off items available, and the variety of colors is nice! but!! it doesn't make up for the fact that there's just very little variety in basic furniture items like beds or tables or dressers.hard to be creative with that very basic limitation.
i personally love hyper modern furniture pieces and while we have some nice appliances and again, single pieces, it's very hard to find things that go together and fit that futuristic bright poppy technology feel that i have used for every AC game until now. i do feel let down - in the sense that pocket camp gets continuous really creative and cool furniture and new leaf amiibo update added a lot of pieces that were really beautifully designed and seem like they could have translated very easily to NH.
in fact, this lack of furniture means i am waiting to design a lot of my island because of this - so it kinda feels like constantly being in DLC limbo. i haven't enjoyed my island development as much as i want to.
BUT, the comfort is - AC has been rather famously good at listening to critique? we have recieved a lot of updates in the mere two months of release and a lot more are sure to come. the existence of NH as a terraforming, clothing and DIY centric fun space that it is, is a credit to developers listening to what people most wanted in NL - more control over their game. and tbh, i would rather have the decent base game play in place, because furniture can always be a DLC.
but for nook's sake, being patient is hard
(this is so long omg. tl:dr where the future tech at? oh, in the future)
