Anyone excited for but also dreading the explosion in population on TBT?

Nah I’m excited. Back when I joined the forum was really active, and it was fun to always have a community. But now it’s pretty hard to do much (Train Station is pretty much dead). I’m excited to visit the islands of internet strangers so I can sell turnips or whatever else. And if villager trading is a thing, the “looking for” thread will probably get taken away from the Villager Trader Plaza again and tier lists will make a return. Plus Retail will be downright flooded. It’ll be pretty cool I think

I'm excited for it! I kind of expected a huge boom in members once the game came out but it'll just mean more active people to trade with, which is a big part of why I like animal crossing.

I'd think it would be a good thing. Why would you want the site to stay in it's current state? I loved using tbt back when acnl first came out but it became boring once it slowed down.

i joined in preparation for new horizons, and have been a member of other communities / forums since 2013.. i am enjoying the bell tree forums a lot and have been browsing every day and i can't say the same for the previous communities i joined!

i'm absolutely looking forward to finding out more about the game come release - finding out information because of other players, trading with people and setting up shops for animal crossing on forums is always fun and rewarding

i think it will be a good thing to have more people to play and talk to

I joined around when New Leaf came out, and it was really fun- you could post looking for trades and get an almost instant reply sometimes. I haven't been around for a while, but I'm excited to jump back into the community!

honestly, i have mixed opinions about it tbh lol.
like, they are changing their host for the forums which will help with the overload of new members... but there will also be more trolls, and hopefully the website won't lag at all.

No. I liked how active the forum was when New Leaf was just released. There was so much excitement about the game, was an amazing experience.

As someone who has been around here since before New Leaf came out, it's been kinda sad to see this place get more and more quiet over time. It'd be nice to see more people around.

Edit: I know my join date says differently, but I didn't make my account until then. I browsed TBT since at least spring 2012.

I was here when New Leaf just came out and tbh even though it was heaps of fun was a bit too much for me at times. Especially with all those trading and visitor threads that literally popped up every minute or so.

I hope it won't be too bad this time. On one hand old school internet forums like these aren't really that common anymore, but on the other hand there's so so so many more AC fans now... Idk

I just hope the servers will be able to handle it lol
