For those who don't know ASMR is short for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and according to Wikipedia:
it's a euphoric experience characterized by a static-like, or any sort of tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine, precipitating relaxation.
I've just recently started and frankly it's strange. I don't feel it like most people.

What about you do you relax with ASMR?

i don't know if decocookie counts but i watch their videos for the relaxing sounds

I've never really been satisfied with it, but I did use it for a short time to see whether it would aid me in my attempts to astral project. It never did.

I do when I have trouble with racing thoughts while trying to sleep, which is often. I get nothing from whispering which is really hard to avoid in ASMR videos. Very slow, deliberate whispering usually skeeves me out. A lot of my ASMR triggers are visual, so like shining lights and up-close personal attention. Eye exam/doctor roleplays are usually my go-to. Recently I've been looking at more experimental kinds of ASMR. TirarADeguello is completely bizarre but quite honestly a goldmine of ASMR-inducing weirdness.

i'm not into the whole "cute grill takes you on a date asmr" thing, but i get asmr from watching massage videos, so sometimes i watch those before i go to bed

I thought it was only me lmao

I accidentally watched this ASMR video about a AC:NL guide, but I didn't even know what ASMR was
Someone commented about a weird feeling in their head, and was like "omg wait what this is an actual thing."

I feel it most when people do things I don't want them to do...? xD
idk lmao
Like when a person picks up something of mine, and I'm like "plz put that down."

no it's kind of creepy imo??? idk...,.. i've never liked the kind of noises that most of those things are, they distress me

I watch ASMR from time to time just to relax. It really doesn't do much to me outside of sounding relaxing though, I only rarely get the "tingles". (hate that word)

The one big complaint I have about ASMR is how fanserviccy a lot of it feels, like this isn't the case for every ASMR maker, but a good portion of female ASMR has somewhat of an erotic feel to it for many people and reading the thirsty male comments is really gross lol... The most annoying thing is that some female ASMR makers actually seem to aim for this?? Like JellybeanASMR looks at the camera ****ing weirdly during her mouthsound vids, it haaas to be intentional. It makes me uncomfy as hell.

Yes, I do. But not the erotic content that is being posted a lot nowadays. I'm listening ASMR to relax, not to get turned on.

Great example.

I'm subscribed to a few YouTube channels that have ASMR videos that are vocally based. I like them but I still have to filter through their videos sometimes when there's a ''soft whispering bull****'' video again.
I don't think I'm really an enormous fan of ASMR or anything. Dependable on my mood and the time of the day, I might like it.
