Well my friend just put money in his account and set his wii time forward like 20 years. He kept doing it until he basically paid off everything. I personally don't think its fair but really anyone can do it so do you agree with it and do you do it?

i time hop/travel but not to do that, it takes the fun out of it imo

I don't plan on doing it because it would take away a lot of the game's replay value. I did it a lot in ACGCN and ACWW, but only after I had beat the games (done everything you can do) and got bored.

time hopping is ok only if u missed something cool and u want to do it so u can get whatever it is that u want

Time hopping is okay period, I just don't like doing it when I first get the game. Other people can do whatever they want, none of my business.

No that's cheating it is like using AR and it takes the fun out of the game
It's not like that... using AR is altering the gameplay in a way that ruins the point and does the opposite of what the game was designed for. I would never time travel, but it's not technically cheating... well I suppose it can be considered cheating, but it's still technically a real feature.

Personally, I'd rather play with people who didn't... How can they be impressed with me cool swag if they just pop ahead 20 years for infinite bells...

Yeah if you're going for a traditional gameplay you don't want to play with people that cheat to get stuff, that ruins the economy. But I don't have any moral issue with people cheating like most people...it's hilarious that so many people do.

And the AR is fun for screwing around after you're bored with the game...not for getting tons of bells and stuff, but other stuff. Like on the GCN jumping across the water to the island, or jumping on the train tracks. And I'd love to be able to move my house to right next to the waterfall...I tried like eight times and never got a house there. Eventually I settled on a town because I liked the gate so much.
