Are promotion giveaway threads allowed?

Hello all. To my knowledge, I know that creating threads to promote another site aren't allowed. But, would that change if it involved giving away Animal Crossing items as well (in-game furniture, IGB, etc)? Like, "please subscribe to *link*'s channel on Youtube/Twitch, and I'll give an item/igb you want!"

It's a long shot, but wanted to ask before assuming otherwise. Thanks for reading!

Asides from the fact that I think it's extremely likely the answer will be no (wait for a staff member to respond), I don't even see how you'd confirm someone had subscribed to the channel. You could advertise this sort of thing in your signature though.

Generally making a thread for the sole purpose of promoting something offsite is not allowed IIRC (discords, facebook groups, etc), but you’re definitely allowed to put them in your signature.

We would not allow this. As @Heyden said above, if you wish to put a link to your Facebook page in your signature then this is fine.

Can I clarify: am I allowed to do a giveaway post, but not link the Facebook Page in that post, and instead ask people to PM me for more details? Something like ‘Giving away ____ for Facebook Likes, PM me for more info’. Because if I were to simply post ‘Giving away free ____! PM me for more info’, people would assume they actually are free, and would be disappointed when I told them that they have to do something for it.

This would still not be allowed. TBT is not intended to be used as a platform for people to promote their own content.
