Are Wild World Villagers more interactive than New Leaf ones?

It has been a while since I played Wild World, but I definitely know for a fact this is ESPECIALLY true for snooty villagers. Snooty villagers really got the short end of the stick in NL, where I'd get the same dialogue threads repeating 2-4 times within the SAME conversation block. I actually love a lot of snooty designs, but never felt inclined to really keep any in my town (one MAX out of obligation to have the balance of personalities) because even amongst NL dialogue, they were particularly bland.

Thanks; could I ask for some clarification? Are you saying that different snooty villagers have completely different dialogue lines in Wild World? For example, would each snooty in Wild World have its own set of dialogue lines that were unique to that character?

In New Leaf, all villagers of one personality type share the same dialogue lines. For example, all Normal villagers will talk about their collections and hobbies, Smugs will use the cool cucumbers line, etc.

It's really not as repetitive at all
They have so many things to say and very long dialogue too, they shower you in requests and gifts
Wild world doesn't have much else to do so the villagers really are the core of the gameplay
You talk to someone and they tell you to get grey furniture, Nook's doesn't have any so you ask another villager for something, they give you a delivery to a third villager, the reward wasn't grey so you talk to that villager and they tell you to get a fossil for them, or race to see who catches a butterfly first, etc. It's really fun

That is very interesting. So if you talk to a lazy villager for a long time, and then go talk to another lazy villager, will there be enough dialogue differences between the two lazies that they appear as two distinct villagers? Or does the game use the same dialogue for all lazies, if that makes sense?

I have been thinking about picking up Wild World just to have more unique interactions with my villagers—if those interactions are truly unique and not duplicated among villagers with the same personality type.

Yes, yes they are! I think they will steal from you too, or was that Gamecube AC?
NL, they're just dull and they demand fruit and items or money all the time. More l think about it, they don't feel like friends to me. They are using me☠

Yes Wild World villagers are absolutely more interactive than New Leaf. They have a greater variety of dialogue and are much more interesting (e.g. cranky villagers actually act cranky). They also talk to each other more and ask for more favours. In my opinion Wild World still has the best villager dialogue & interactions of all the AC games.

They actually do have distinct dialogue!!! This is partially due to the hobby system!
The one thing they do repeat a lot is the bits of dialogue that they give *before* you select the option that you want to talk. So in the evening lazies will say ‘hehe say goodbye to Mr Sun’ but that’s not really an issue since you get the actual dialogue after
I didn’t even know there were personality types when I first played because they all did feel different. My Tabby loves hunting grey furniture and talking about interior design, and my Nibbles loves clothes’

YES THEY ARE. tbh the only thing I can remember is them being rude, cranky villagers were actually cranky. But Phyllis was the meanest, along with Resseti (7 year old me was terrified of them, I even had to call my mom crying because Resseti kept screaming at me FOR HOURS *not kidding*). Acww has such a big space in my heart, I love that game, I'd say it's way more interesting than the new one...

This is sooo true. It's not repetitive. I've been playing for a month or so and haven't had a villager repeat anything or even villagers of the same personality tell me the same thing. The hobby system keeps villagers unique. One peppy might be searching for a certain furniture while one is super into clothes and might ask you to find a specific shirt. IT'S SO FUN. Hobbies last a few days to maybe a week or so and they cycle into new ones which keeps things fresh and also breathes LIFE into these characters.
