OK, so I was at this thing last night and it was like crazy. So I had a headache and couldn't eat all of my food so I had to throw it away, right, right. So in the garbage it goes when this kid (idk, like 8 maybe?) starts screaming "ooaoAAA looOOK WOoh", so he's like freaking out when this guy near him (his dad) is like "OK, well hmm, well that's America for you (talk about prejudice, am I right?) OK, well you know ok, I think I'll just..." OK, now get this. He reaches into the garbage, grabs a half eaten piece of corn and a piece of meat (?) and EATS IT.

Now there was PLENTY of food here and trust me, no one was starving, there was way too much food in fact... he could have just gone to get some more. They were just standing near the garbage can all night... OK, but this isn't it... He didn't let his kid get any food apparently. He said he didn't need a plate of food and could just eat scraps off of people's plate when they were finished. What the heck? I guess that's why he was freaking out. OK, so these people are forcing themselves to be desperate for food when they don't need to be. Now I understand if maybe you were pretty hungry, low on some money... you know... maybe if you're actually desperate you could take some of that.... but come on this guy was crazy, and he was dressed pretty strange as well...

But that's not the point. My point is that if someone is giving you food, you don't disrespect them and eat out of their garbage. OK, that's not actually my point either, but I think you get what I'm saying. Anyone else eat out of the garbage?

edit: OK, am I the only one who thinks that was weird... or is it like normal in some places? Do tell. =0

They always say "eat your food, there's starving people in the world." But the thing with that is that it's not going to help those people by eating the food you already have in front of you. The same people that say that probably haven't done anything to help those people. So those are my 2 cents =o




Hm, actually, I think by finishing your food you're actually making it WORSE. Let's say you stuff yourself to finish your food one day, and you start doing that a lot. Eventually you're going to build up more of an appetite and it'll lead to you eating more food. So those are my 2 dollars.
