Are you expecting a feature similar to the island in Animal Crossing: New Leaf?

Absolutely.
I loved the island tour games and having different flora and fauna to collect.

I would hate to be stuck on my own island with nowhere else to go. That would make the game unplayable for me.

I expect something for the mini-games, but I don't think they'll including something as lucrative Bell-making wise.

I would love to have island minigames and tours. It would be really cute to take a boat or the dodo plane to a nearby island to play the games.

I liked the island feature in New Leaf, as it helped me to make most of my bells, but I was never a fan of the mini games trying to earn all those medals for the items on the island. It was too time consuming for me, but if they do add it in the game, I'll be fine with it. :)

I would like it if Tortimer's Island coming back and being the neighbor island which you can visit
whenever you like. It was a nice (and also helpful) feature in New Leaf so I hope it's available in
New Horizons too.

It would be sweet if we could travel to other islands (not meaning friends ones) and explore because yeah, being stuck on one island would be boring. Although, for me it depends on how big our islands are. If they're as big as our towns I wouldn't mind.

I think the islands will make a comeback for Horizons, but I could be wrong. The Game Cube Animal Crossing had an island, Wild World had an island, New Leaf had an island, so Horizon should have one, too, maybe. It might be a bit different, though. Maybe even better. I can't wait to see all the new improvements this game has to offer.

the island was in the original animal crossing, but we never saw it again until nl.

I'd like to be the opposite to what we have in New Leaf. You live on the island, but you can travel to a mainland instead.

i don't think so. like mello said hehe

the island in new leaf was for mini games and there wasn't much you can do
but in new horizons its where you live and you can do everything you could in town.
i doubt we'll be able to play the tours on the island now or whatever it'll be but it'd be cool
maybe they'll have a shopping district or a mini town we can fly to but im not gettin my hopes up lol

No. Because...
1. The new, larger island is the focus of NH.
2. Club Tortimer was kind of a disaster. From what I heard, not many people liked it and had bad experiences on there.

I personally want something like it, but I don’t think there will be.

I'm expecting some kind of island hopping or trip to the mainland feature, even if just for one or the other of mini games or unique items like fish, fruit, or furniture like the mermaid set.

Honestly, I just want there to be a special place where I can catch some valuable bugs and fish to make $ quick lol. That was really the main reason I ever visited Tortimer Island, didn't care much for Club Tortimer or the diving feature. It'd be cute if there was a smaller island you could unlock after a while though.

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't mind staying in my town (or, island, as the case may be). My main objective is in making my environment look the way I want. Now that we can decorate outdoors, that will keep me plenty busy.

I would like to have a little separate area to go to, maybe more of like an "island" island. I'm not a huge fan of the whole island thing so I'm hoping it'll be more like a mainland feel just on an island.

I dont think there will be an island like there was in new leaf since the game is set on a tropical island already
but
I do think it would be fun if nintendo put out new islands to explore every month that have interesting bugs/fish/flowers from the pocket camp events including a small store that sells the special furniture from the events.
The furniture could either be expensive like Gracie grace is or require you trade in the fish/flowers/bugs

Definitely yes. It was an amazing idea and a lot of people used it, and still do use it, so why would they remove it.
Also the island exclusive objects were amazing and the mini games were fun!
I really like this place, although I usually traveled to it only to fish and catch bugs to make some money, it was still fun and the music was awesome.
I think it would only be fitting to implement it in ACNH since... well you're gonna be playing on a deserted island, it would be very on brand.
it could even be cool if we could go on the same island as ACNL! Since we used a little seaplane to come to our deserted island, I guess we're not that far from the mainland (and our potential ACNL town), so maybe we could have the same tropical island as ACNL?
That would be something cool in my opinion.

I'm hoping there's a mainland district/city that we're able to visit. Something similar to how we take the bus to the city in ACCF, we take a plane to a plaza for ACNH.
