irl, not in igb or tbt :p

i guess i’m middle class?

i have savings and i can afford to travel occasionally and buy what i want within reason but i’m definitely not rich

to be honest, if i somehow became a billionaire overnight i’d give the vast majority of it to NASA or space X. bring on that star trek future!

Middle class. My family can afford necessities and maybe some expensive things here and there. Can't go on lavish trips everyday though lol.

Upper middle class, but I plan on being rich myself in the future.

Upper middle class at this moment but we may be poor very soon.

My family has been wealthy my entire life but it comes at a cost – I almost never tell acquaintances or even friends about my wealth because then people only become friends with you for gifts or so you can buy them free stuff. I have been lucky to be able to go to a good school and never worry about being broke but at the end of the day, there isn't anything that a rich person can buy compared to someone in the middle class that would make them any more or any less happy.

Lower middle class. We used to be upper middle class but, a lot of that has changed since my dad lost his job (I still have no idea why he did), about two years ago. We don’t really have all too much anymore, but I’m still grateful for everything we do have.

My family is true middle class. Everybody has their own bedroom, and we take vacations every now and again. We used to be lower class, and nearly declared bankruptcy, because my stupid dad couldn't get any job at all, and my mom's been working short-term jobs for most of her mother life. A family of 5 depended on $30 thousand dollars a year, which is hardly anything at all. Luckily, my dad's now got a job, but there's no guarantee it will last too long.

Living paycheck to paycheck and have some savings, wouldn't consider myself poor because I don't really feel a struggle when it comes to quality of living, but by a formal definition with income I would say poverty level :' )

Middle class, I'd say. Used to be poor growing up, but change in careers on my mother's behalf & my dad sticking with his job for like 25 years has brought us up to living comfortably. But I'm just about to the point where I'm on my own & we'll see how that goes for me LOL. I'm probably going to be living paycheck to paycheck for a while.

After my dad was laid off last year, I had to start paying for my own food, appointments, and transportation to work.
I worked a part-time job with little hours and low pay, every check I earned vanished quickly and my savings slowly disappeared from my account as well.
A lot of **** happened after that and my bf and I decided to leave the state since we were both struggling with our jobs and neither of our parents were much help.
We now walk to work daily and eat the cheapest lunches we can find. It's been hard but I'm hoping things start getting better soon.
We're living with my boyfriend's sister who gave us a room, a bed, a shower, and wifi. I definitely don't want to live like this forever.. but I'm grateful for what I have! I'm so happy to have my boyfriend by my side, he helps me stay strong and positive.

This was really cute to read. Is it possible for you guys to bike to work? You can go on craigslist and look for cheap bikes. It's certainly faster than walking.

My family is poor asf all working class Puerto Ricans, but I'm going to Law School so ill be rich maybe.

I'm pretty poor. Things are gonna get better soon, but even then, I'll still be below the poverty line.
