The peninsula on my island is #1, the big, round one. I like it and wouldn't change it. I've had a Swinging Bench placed there basically since the game came out, and I like that because it's a spot where your character would theoretically be getting a really good view of the ocean. I've long thought about putting a lighthouse behind the bench, but I've never actually done so yet.

I believe I have the small round peninsula (#2) located in the northeast side of my island. I’m fine with it, I didn’t know there was so many different peninsula sizes in this game. Right now I currently have a fake gallant statue and some flowers surrounding it on my peninsula. Not my ideal decoration or set up for it lol but it will do for now until I figure out what I want to do with the space. I see most people putting a lighthouse on theirs, but since my lighthouse already has a different location on my island I’ll have to come up with another idea.

I think I have #3, the wavy peninsula. I'm fine w it, there's room for decorations but I'm yet to do anything with that area on my island at this point so it's serving me no purpose. the only problem I have is that it's further up on the map. the positioning is kinda awkward but nothing I'm really concerned about.

I got #1. I'm happy with, but I'm not using it much at the moment. I've got the lighthouse there, 2 trees and a basquetball court. But it's a pretty lonely spot, villagers rarely go there.

I really wish I could change the river mouths. I know that it keeps part of my island authentic but I really just want full creative control I guess

I have the wavy type peninsula. I never noticed until I read this post but from above it does look like a dog's head! Initially I was a bit disappointed in it because I couldn't really terraform anything cool underneath my lighthouse area. In the end I put in a seating area and a shell arch that leads to my mermaid area. I don't really mind it now, it worked out well in the end!

I just started a second island and now I also have a small round peninsula. I haven't decided what I'll use it for yet but I'm excited to hopefully do something different with it!

yes!!! finally one that i can say yes i'm happy with it kajdfhgkadf i got the wavy (3) peninsula, i'm very happy because it's big enough to put in some cliffs and a lighthouse on top :3c

Wow, here's one I actually don't like 😤
Blah blah my second island's is small round, bottom left corner, it's good it's great, blah

Now that's out of the way, my first island's peninsula (straight top, it's an okay type for what it's worth) is one of the best cases of wasted potential, literally because of where it ended up.
(other case would be the rocks in the back...)
It's shoved on the top right corner of my island, by the second level cliffs (which I'm not going to knock down), and there is absolutely nothing I can do to work around it. It's a hybrid flower hoarding ground because I don't really decorate with flowers but I don't want to completely get rid of them
(rip feature where they could sit in storage or be used as furniture, WW to NL)
If it had spawned on the left side instead of the right side, I'd actually have a use for it. But instead, it's remaining a useless little chunk of land in a sad little corner of the island. 😢

Wow, this is so pretty! I love the colors, it feels so relaxing! Good job on decorating.

I feel for you, I had to throw away so many design ideas just because my cliffs were in the way. I wanted a town with high cliffs everywhere, but with only eight possible staircases, I had to give up putting cliffs on the edges of the beach.

I wish I could have another incline to lead up to my lighthouse that's there. :)

I got a straight top peninsula, and at first I didn't know what to do with it. I had put my lighthouse on the rocks of my northwestern beach, so I didn't use it for that.

But when swimming got added in, and I found out you can jump from cliffs into the water, I turned it into a diving board, complete with a ramp and diving sign.

I love it now.

Small round here, and while I admire the size the big round folks have to work with, and kinda would prefer more space, I'm alright with what I managed to do with it. The lighthouse, a bench and flowers fit on it well enough. I couldn't think of a way to terraform it how I liked, so it's flat. Not the most aesthetically pleasing, but it works.

Mine is the largest one - the big round. I love it, it has my lighthouse on a cliff with a waterfall and flowers.

On my first island (that I kept for around a day) I had the big round and liked it a lot, I put Marina there when she moved in. But then I reset and, while I like my island overall a lot more, I miss that peninsula. I now have the "wavy" kind apparently and it's not my favorite. Right now I have a little "dock" (wooden floor that matches the wood on the pier) with a tourist telescope on the end and a bench. It's one of my least favorite areas of my island, TBH, but the rest of the island makes up for it!

I have the straight bottom one and I'm happy with it because my lighthouse looks cute on it lol

It looks like I have the wavy one. Now that I've seen the other options I can definitely say that the big round one would have been my favorite, but the wavy isn't bad. I used it for Audie's house, which I wanted to have in a slightly separate space since it's so aggressively tropical and that wasn't a theme that I wanted to feature too prominently on my island.

My peninsula is the straight top and I’m happy with it. I haven’t really done much with that area to be honest, so I wouldn’t change it.

I have the big round one which most people seem to want... and all i did with it is make it an overgrown mum garden (which is an extension to my oversized and overgrown hybrid garden which i haven't touched in ages. Crap, hybrid flowers are practically useless to me at this point, but I'm stuck for ideas for that area, so...)

I don't really think about it much, but I probably would've been pissed if I got one of the crappy tiny ones lol

I think I have number 5 but it looks a bit better than that photo, mine is not straight on the top, it's mirrored with the bottom half. I'm happy with everything on my island but these threads can make you start to question things.
