ahh i used to try writing my own story, then after 10 short chapters had no idea where the plot was actually going (no conflict or anything) so i cried and gave up. i've had more ideas since then but i don't know how to put them into words correctly

It's surprisingly easy to write a lot! You just have to get an idea that you like so much you just can't stop writing about it
That's how I get with character backstories or plot brainstorming; I ended up doing about 40k once just from the 'let's write down as many ideas about this as possible before we forget what the idea was' phase

You see, I have ideas, but not the skills, so the writing turns out to be long(NOT 25k) or super short. OR I simply don't know what to do/write.
