TBh I think the feature that tends to look the same in everyone art ( like everytime they draw you can tell its this artist) is the eyes, people usually draw eyes in a certain way and I feel this is the start to finding your "Style" I dont even know what i'm talking about. LOL I'M SORRY I'MA LEAVE NOW .
Draw head/shoulder and gradually add more features over time ;-;, add to the bust, to waist, knees and eventually fullbody. Guidelines really do help, I REALLLY suggest looking at some line art tutorials to help you find your style because just practicing off making line art since people draw anatomy different will help you make your own line art, and then go find a coloring style you like. Lots of people post their Palette and you can use theirs and add more colors you personally like when it comes with shading and bases to help fit your likes.
