People being immature about nsfw art
People not getting the meaning behind the art
You either get hardcore criticism or nothing but compliments. There is no in between
Artists either being too hard on themselves or wayyyy too cocky. there's a difference between being proud of your work and saying other people aren't as good as you/your work

most of the problems that bother me most involves other ppl.. for example:

people telling me that they wish they were born with artistic talent.
all i tell them is that i am NOT born with any type of talent. all the work you see from me is the result of long hours of practice and hard work so pls dont come up to me and say that i have talent. I have no talent and it's all just skill that i worked to improve on for many many years. Telling me this would make it look like i did nothing to make my art the way it is.

ALSO!!! people expecting me to make art for them just cuz i can draw.
I have absolutely no time to even make art for myself. if i will make art for you, i will make art for you. just PLS do NOT ask if i am not accepting any requests. it will just make me boil.

AND!!!!! when ppl tell me their art is ****/want to burn their art after seeing my art.
this is not a good compliment. it makes me incredibly upset to see that my art will discourage them from improving. that is not what my art is for. ofc there is always gonna be someone out there better than you. hell, there are thousands of artists out there that are better than me. take note!!

LASTLY. asking me if i drew it/it looks traced.
Especially when im OBVIOUSLY drawing right in their faces. like HELLO where tf did that sketchbook come from? how in god's name did this pencil/pen draw by itself?? pls pls pls dont ask this because it's so incredibly dumb i just might not answer you. also, it is never ok to say that a drawing looks traced. it's a great insult to the artist who spent hours and hours of work on it and it's just plain rude.

- when someone begs you to draw them
- when someone asks you why did your art a certain way, and you explain why you did it the way you did, and they just look at you and are like "Oh well it looks stupid."

ahh yes this - I agree with it so much
they always assume I was born being able to just draw "well" - and then they give up so easily = = plus they ignore me when I try to tell them that it requires practice.
it took me YEARS to just get this far, and it will take many more to get better. I think it's more of perseverance that helps instead of raw talent alone.

People being immature about nsfw art

or just seeing naked bodies in general - say if you're practicing anatomy

My art teacher had this awesome piece up, that had the outlines of breasts, but not anything like nipples, ect. He ended up having to cover it up because of people being so immature

People don't see the meaning behind the dark themes, the nudity, they only say it's "inappropriate"
