Welcome to Ivory, my newest island. I've decided to make this my main, deviated island. Which means it needs to be built and decorated! This will be the first island where I strive for a 5★ Rating. Since I've already started the island before the New Year, New Island event, it'll start from unlocking Terraforming!

Once the event is over, I'll hopefully have completed the island. If not, the journal will continue until I have!

Coming in with an evening update! Yesterday was a bit of a trip; right after the previous update (with the completion of my incline) I managed to move out Pietro! Right after that I did some weeding and flower planting - just enough to get some color on the island. Compelled by pride after I spaced out my outdoor furniture, I asked Isabelle for an update. And wouldn't you believe it! We reached 3★!!

So today was K.K. Slider's concert! All the villagers and some of the shop owners gathered to listen. I was actually pretty happy because I hadn't played in a while before I reset so it was like hearing it fresh for the first time again! I also got a little chuckle out of being barely visible because my hair and clothing were so dark against the void background, ahah.

Anywho, I've almost finished moving villager houses to the beach so I can start the Flattening™! The next step is maybe some TT'ing so I can demolish the bridges and inclines and decide if I want a loose theme for the island or if I'll wing it. Once I've decided I'll start villager hunting (I'm tempted to keep Molly and Rod but we'll see!)

Also! I'll be working on my entrance first. I chose a map with resident services close to the airport because it fit with an idea I had and wanted to try! I still have to move the campsite too, but it's all starting to make sense in my head, I think.

Whew, the evening update is here! Today was more lax and definitely not as much was done because of how tired I was. Still we managed to get a decent chunk of fishing done with help from fish bait! I would have done more but the game relaxed me a bit too much. I snoozed while casting (thankfully my battery lasted, ahah). I'll never know what got away :c

I also was able to celebrate my Nook's Cranny upgrade! With how everything was placed (building wise, I mean) some of the Villagers took a few steps back on over to view the ceremony. I was a bit sad that Tom (new resident!) was obscured by a tree as I do like his design. Not sure if he's permanent yet, it's a possibility because I LOVE cranky villagers.

I've almost finished my house too, paying it off that is! Today I paid off the second floor. I'm planning to show my decorated house once it's paid off and complete - perhaps one room at a time. I'm super stoked to try out the things I didn't on my previous islands!

My map has once again been updated! All that's left is to move the shops as I've decided flattening will have to wait until they're also on the beach. As of today I've settled the campsite placeholder. So that leaves Nook's, the Museum, and Able Sister's. Hopefully I have enough room, ahaha. I have unlocked both Terraforming permits (just gotta get the paths) and I can finally cook!
