Ask Bowie

It was in Shrek 2. David and Butterfly Bouncer recorded a new version of "Changes" for the film, and I believe that was the first time I ever heard a Bowie song.

I didn't get into him until many years later, when my father recommended a song to me called "Space Oddity". Funnily enough, I hated it, and got bored of it very quickly. But then I listened to "Life on Mars?" and fell in love. Then I gave "Space Oddity" another try and I loved that just as much.

And then he released his new (at the time) album, The Next Day, and I've loved him ever since. I'm very grateful I was able to experience him for the short time that I did before he passed away.

That's actually a really lovely story c: Thanks for sharing :>

Hey Bowie,

how have you been doing since you... well... you died and everything. What's heaven like Bowie? I know you made it there. Can you hear me with your telescopic antennae which translate data from Earth, Bowie?

Why did you bump your thread like 5 minutes after I bumped mine?

I honestly didn't realise. Sorry!

It's been a long time since someone has accused me of being Bowie (jokingly, of course).

Kinda sad that people can't make that joke anymore, though. I'm sure that he can hear you. I doubt he's in Heaven, though. He'll be on Mars!

What are you eating

Funnily enough, your avatar replaced certain icons on my browser. I have no idea why. Forum glitch.

This might have been asked idk- have you seen the Flight of the Conchords episode called "Bowie"?

Yep. It's very funny!

What's your favorite David Bowie song?

That's very hard for me, because there are just so many I love, but if I had to pick just one, it would have to be "5.15 The Angels Have Gone". I remember rushing to it the minute I heard the news about him, and it was the last time I heard him without the "he's dead" thoughts in my head.

Grats on pink Bowie. I didn't know you could get more awesome than you already were. What's your secret, if you don't mind sharing?

I actually don't even know. I play For Glory mode a lot, and I decided to enter just for fun, and I had no intention whatsoever of even touching third place. I'm very grateful. Thank you for the kind words!
