My mom doesn't believe in violent games so swords and guns were not allowed in the games we played when I was younger. The most violent I had until 2011 was Raymin Rabbids XD Now she is loosening up but being honest... I have never played a legend of zelda game due to that

Ah man. My mom didn't care, as long as it stayed near or under a teen rating, and didn't have any actual guns or stuff like that in it. She was fine with swords, as long as it wasn't too gory.
Everyone has mixed opinions with the game. To me, it's my favorite game EVER and a gem of a game. There's much to be improved but everything that is done well is amazing.
If you ever get a chance to check it out, you really should. It's an AMAZING game.
Too bad my copy doesn't work anymore...

It's in the same timeline of Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time. It comes after. It's nice to see Hyrule develope from that old game.

Majora is not the greatest game to start out with XD it's really damn hard
A better game to start out with is Wind Waker. An HD version was released on the Wii U. I haven't actually had the chance to play it, heard its good though.

Hmm..another good game to start off with is Skyward Sword, as it's simple, but requires the motion+ accessory (or motion+ WiiMote) and can be kinda crappy.

We could try the new one, Tri-Force heroes. Nintendo "selected" me play the demo with three friends of my selection, as I have to send them a code. I have two I'm trying to give away. It's a 3DS game and I need two people to play and none of my friends want them (which is stupid)
