How can people believe in truths without evidence?

Probably because you can find evidence to support nearly any belief or idea if you look hard enough.

The entire history of human science is in fact just a compilation of clues as to what we think reality and life is all about.

We might meet extraterrestrials as some point in the future and upon them examining our math and science, they might say, "Oh yeah, we tried that for awhile too but ultimately we realized it was a dead end."

All human knowledge is essentially a mucking about in the darkness, trying to identify an elephant by its tusk, or ears or feet alone.

We just don't know what we don't know.

But people like to feel like they understand where they are going, where they came from, and why. It gives us a feeling of security. I contend that its a false sense of security, but that's just me...

What is the true meaning of life and love? Is love a foolish and fake emotion? Does death give meaning to life?
