i agree i like those too! i don't think i would like it very much if one landed on me LOL but it wouldn't be as big of a deal as something like a beetle. it's fun to watch them at night

very unique opinion here (joke) but i don't like it! i watched it when it in 2015 and even back then i didn't like it. i think kirito is a boring main character, asuna was nice until she got together with kirito and then she became like his timid housewife, the sister stuff was... Very weird >_>, don't like the use of sensitive topics for shock, and don't care about any of the other characters because they felt pretty forgettable to me. this is all stuff that could be applied to a lot of other anime (even some of my favorites, like how memorable are the side characters in madoka????), which stinks, but YEAH i am so sorry if i you are a fan and i am tearing it apart funnily enough i heard the creator isn't proud of it and that it was one of his first Big Works so i wonder if any of this has been fixed in his later works

oh i LOVE picking favorite characters, two of them are charlotte and homura (pmmm) but i already talked about them earlier so i'll give you some others in their place!

1. popee (popee the performer)
popee the performer is tied with pmmm for my favorite anime EVER and the main character also happens to be one of my favorite characters!! he's a circus performer who's self-centered, jealous, and easily set off.... and i love that in characters XD also his design is so awesome, i love his cat-suit-thing and i find the old cg look very charming. he looks just as good in 2d art (or BETTER most would say lol). fun random fact about him is in the future he becomes a scientist and sells his soul to the devil to build a robot. i think it is quite wacky

2. ryo asuka (devilman)
really freaken cool guy!!! i feel like devilman crybaby really mischaracterized him, he is Cool and Mysterious but he still gets emotional and cares deeply for akira and i think that's really endearing about him! i tend to be won over by stuff that makes me sad and, like homura, his part in the story also makes me sad...

his design as satan is SOOOO COOL TOO i really wish the birth/demon bird OVAs made it to the end of the story because i would have loved to see satan in the OVA style. imo the best satan design is in amon: the apocalypse of devilman! i also like the chibi one in cb chara go nagai world

3. yuuko aioi (nichijou)
YUUKO IS SOOOO FUNNY she's very energetic and lighthearted and a lot of jokes involving her hinge on her being pathetic in some way. i love to see her fail and i would not say that about many characters i like LOL. the closest character i can compare her to is tomo from azumanga daioh!

Favorite anime genres?

i've never been sure about this, but i'm starting to think my favorite is comedy with how many comedies have gotten into my high ratings! (popee the performer, nichijou, azumanga daioh, galaxy angel, etc...). i like most genres though!!! the only things i dislike are shounen with 100+ episodes and the obvious stuff like harem and ecchi lol. since i mentioned yuuko earlier here is one of my favorite short yuuko scenes

the crying ALWAYS gets me i swear nichijou is so funny on its own but the voice acting adds a lot to it. i usually don't even pay attention to anime voice acting

i got REALLY lucky. it was required for one of my math classes in highschool so my mom tried asking the neighborhood if anyone would sell their old one and she was able to get one from a neighbor for a lot cheaper than normal!

depends on what kind of experience they want, but i think for most people some safe choices are fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood and mob psycho 100! FMA:B is one of the best shounen i've ever seen, ed isn't the deepest character but i like him a lot more than most protags of the genre. his brother, alphonse, is SUPER lovable and i think the idea of this young kid being stuck in a giant suit of armor is hilarious and awesome. i also like how it handles war, not perfect but it it's pretty respectful in comparison to a lot of things! i really appreciate the portrayal of the ishvalans (people from one of the ficitonal countries in it).

as for mob psycho, the cast is really charming!!! i particularly like the dynamic of the main characters, mob and reigen. great humor too, i think fma's humor didn't always hit but mp100 jokes are usually rly funny. the animation is some of the coolest i've ever seen and it seems to have a pretty good mix of character and action in general

I totally get you, It's a bit of fun but not groundbreaking lol - 7/10 seems more than fair. I did enjoy having such a relatable sanrio character tho. I honestly can't remember the season distinctly enough to separate them in my mind but I remember being hooked from the first episode and generally having a good time watching season one so i'll go with that lol.
