I got bored and I was looking through your old threads and found this. How have your cooking skills improved between the creation of that thread and now?

Haha, I almost forgot about that thread! I can't say my actual cooking skills have improved much, but I've learned some useful tips, such as cleanliness and food/kitchen safety. I learned this during my cooking class last year, and I have my parents who give me cooking tips as well.

Have you read any of the Wimpy Kid books? If not you should give Diper Overlöde a shot. I think it's just...perfect for you, and you'll see why once you read it.

I have! I've read up to book 14, I believe. Loved the series, got annoyed with the protagonist.
And interesting, is Diper Overlöde a spinoff series?

Have you also read any books in the Captain Underpants series, which predates Dog Man? What about the other books with Kid Cat and the comic club?

Also yes! I've read all the Captain Underpants books, but I only own 5 of them so the storyline is fuzzy for me. It's one of my favorite book series, and I really enjoyed the movie/Netflix show when it released. (Don't think I've read a Kid Cat book, though.)

How did you get into Animal Crossing?

Animal Crossing is one of the few series I've gotten into that wasn't influenced by my dad (a lot of my favorite media is stuff he likes 'cause I grew up with it). Back in 2019 I got a random AC animation recommended to me on YouTube, and I watched it. It looked interesting, so I asked one of my friends if they've ever played AC, and they explained the game a bit to me. My interest grew and I bought AC:NH a few months after it released, and the rest is history.

What got you hooked on heavy metal?

I have a number of family members who like metal, but I got it mainly from my dad. He's been playing various metal artists since I was a baby. If you wanna get into specifics, I really got hooked to metal after my dad played a System Of A Down song (my fave band!!) and I was like, "ooh that's cool". I listened to all their discography, and got into other metal artists, and my metal arsenal has been growing since then!
(And FYI, I just wanna geek out for a sec: Heavy metal is a subgenre, but I do enjoy it. I prefer thrash, death, and nu metal though!)

No, Diper Overlöde is the 17th Wimpy Kid book. It's about the protagonist's brother trying to make it big with his band. I won't say any specific reasons why beyond the music industry references, but it's worth reading!

Lemme see here... I enjoy fried fish and calamari and salmon! I get very few chances to eat crustaceans (aka just crab and lobster) but when I do, it always tastes delightful. I think I wanna try sushi one day, but it's prepared raw so I'm not sure about it. But since it doesn't hurt to try new things I might give it a shot (when I'm old enough)... Also, any octopus dish sounds intriguing too.

As for metal...ugh. My tastes in music are a bit more relaxed than that, sorry... -_-; I can try listening to a few songs but I don't think that's gonna magically transform me into a metal fan! I don't wanna be a fake, I wanna be myself! (at least I still got Kieran!) Do I get hated now? x_x

I used to, though my subscription expired a few months ago. I haven't been playing on my Switch at all, so I'm not thinking of getting NSO any time soon!

My island is, uh... All over the place. XD There isn't a set theme and there's just random spots I decorated for the sake of upping my rating. (P.S.: It's still at 4 stars.) So, I still consider it incomplete!

I don't really like how my island looks, but I sunk so much time into my game, that restarting wouldn't be the most viable option. ANYWAY, I mostly have dreamies/my favorite villagers on my island. These include Apollo, Pietro, Moe, Snake, Mitzi, Bea, Fuchsia, Frita, Ruby, and Judy.

Sweet, Char likes me!! Now, I hope you don't mind me asking this. (and I'm sorry it's getting weird, I just couldn't help it!)

Char is usually stoic and mean-looking, but they start to open up when someone expresses genuine interest in them - This can include sharing common things they like. Also, they get flustered easily and start to get blushy at times. (And totally not because I like drawing blush, lol.)

And don't worry, I don't mind these kind of questions!

My current favorite song has explicit language, so I can't quite say it. ^^" (It's a Korn song, though.) As for clean songs I currently love, I would say "Wherever I May Roam" or "Harvester of Sorrow", both by Metallica. Actually, I love those two songs so much, I learned their main riffs on guitar!

PS I have a strange feeling I know the answer.

I was thinking moreso along the lines of "Chop Suey!" Like, I've come across that song a bunch of times without even knowing it. I remember I made a post in the thread where you copy-paste lyrics, and then the post you made after that...was part of the lyrics to "Chop Suey!" I also found that same song in the "What are you listening to?" thread at some point, but I assumed it was about the food and didn't think too much about it. And then on your thread here, the first song mentioned was...you guessed it, "Chop Suey!" So I listened to that to see what the big deal was about it and the rest is history.

I can't think of any particular songs at the moment, but there are some artists and genres that I can't stand, that being modern pop and rap. I can appreciate the older stuff for what its worth, but a lot of mainstream music nowadays just sounds unimaginative and generic (in my opinion).

Actually, there's a couple of songs I can think of that make me groan every time I hear it; "Old Town Road", "Dame Tu Cosita", and "God's Plan". These songs were super popular when I was nearing the end of my elementary school years (5th/6th grade), and I could not understand for the life of me why people liked them.

I just listened to those first 3 tracks, and I would say my favorite is "Kidnap The Sandy Claws" - Generally, I prefer quick and upbeat songs. "Jingle Balls" was okay (funny title, but it's basically a cover song), and "Christmas Song" was..... Interesting. (Despite that, I still liked the song, it has that crunchy Self-Titled sound... But it's probably a bonus track from that album. XP)

I've never heard of Apocalyptica, but I'm not one to turn down Corey Taylor songs. I'm currently listening to "I'm Not Jesus", and I'm liking it so far!
