Yeah I was thinking of closing it as soon as I saw what the number actually was because I didn't want it to get up to an unfair price, I just was struggling with the math

Awe yeah maybe so. If this ends up being the case, I will keep my eye out for any other Audies being offered through here in the future for sure! My offer still technically stands that way, and maybe I'll have a little more too!

You could have closed the auction the second they came up with that offer because it was more than fair and honestly more than what audie usually goes for, but you waited for a counter anyways. I would have done the same thing no doubt, but I wouldn't then say "I was hoping for you to win" or something along those lines because it wasnt a lowball offer.
Anyways this was an entertaining thread and congrats TC on getting a great deal

I wasn't really waiting for a counter offer, I was checking the math and the other person offered before I came back and since I hadn't put closed anywhere on the thread it's not fair for me to say the auction was closed and their bid wouldn't count, I genuinely was hoping for them to win but I have to be fair to all customers. Tbh you've mad me feel really horrible.

There was no need to imply that TC’s only objective was personal gain when they tried to make this as fair as possible given the circumstances. That’s a really unfair thing to say.

That wasn't my intention, but I don't think there was anything incorrect in what I said either. TC chose the better offer because it was, in fact the better offer. Why should anyone feel bad about that? All the positive words and phrases in the world cant change the fact that even though there was a perfectly good offer given from the group it was turned down in favour of more money. Am I wrong?

It was the unnecessary comment that no one really continued to ask for. You were commenting several times, making snide remarks at the OP which I had noticed from the start. Yes she chose the better offer, she has the full rights. What was not right, is you making a comment, psycho analysing what she did or said. Im almost 100% sure she wanted for us to win, but we were commenting EXTREMELY fast with items that were NOT conventional in an auction. Dont blame her for getting overhwhelmed.

But why is it necessary to even comment on an auction thread when its sole purpose is to be an auction thread, rather than a discussion and personal commentary thread? It seems uncalled for because it was rather presumptuous.

Anyway, it's closed and finished now. Better to move on. <3
