I live in Australia and its getting close. Sometimes I cant sleep well because of the fires getting close to where i live.

I'm in Australia, NSW, and although I'm not right next to them, I can smell the smoke.

It was so bad last week I had to shut the windows.

They've estimated around 480 million animals have perished.

That sucks! I live in VIC so its getting close... People say dont worry cause i live in a area where its the main road and there is houses right next to my house. I'm still worried sick though

That's what I'm doing. Especially yesterday. It was 47?.

I even had ash that had blown a fair distance, landing in my yard.

just remembered something. Some of the smoke from Australia bush fires has gone to New Zealand. My relatives live there. I worry too much and I will worry about them

I wouldn't worry too much. It's just the smoke. Thankfully it can't jump the sea, so they will be fine.

I feel as though I'm handing out the obvious. I apologize if you've already seen this. I'm not trying to make you feel like you're ignorant of the situation if you know what I mean. But there could be some helpful tips.

Just keep a level head. You can't tackle anything if you don't take a breath.

This is devastating! My mom has a friend who lives in Australia and they live really close to where a fire is, a few days ago she told us that her husband was trapped on their house because it was on fire. Haven't heard from them lately since im personally not in direct contact w them but Im really hoping that they stay safe

It's overcast today. I can't smell any smoke today. I smell rain though.

I hope we get it (rain) in areas that need it the most.

A good friend of mine lives in NSW. She sends me pictures/videos of the smoke/ash most days. It's insane to see. Those in the area, please stay safe.

People were forced to shake hands with the PM of australia while in the bushfire season
Also the PM is on holiday. He should do something but no, he doesnt care

Also i live near the city will i be okay?
