Avoiding spoilers

I've always had the mindset of "seeing =/= experiencing", I can enjoy what I see and what I experience. Knowing what's in the game won't ruin it for me, though I have been staying away on 'how' something is done, for the most part.

I don't understand why everyone is concerned about animal crossing spoilers as if this is a campaign story mode game lol... i understand wanting to experience parts of the game on your own first but like... *shrug*
I mean nothing against those who ARE avoiding 'spoilers' tho ! I'm half avoiding - half consuming everything possible... I know I'm still gonna have my first time experience that will be special to ME only eventually lol

i dont mind light spoilers, but things that strip away some of the magic on the first experience like hearing all the hourly songs, watching livestreams of the game where you see exactly word for word what the NPCs say when you first move in, etc kind of lessens the initial experience imo.

Yes I agree entirely ! Those things you listed are the exactly the things I've been actively avoiding I've seen snippets and I wanna experience those on my own but at the same time I'm getting so much info and hype in general by the time I've got my hands on the game it'll probably be like new for me haha

I've tried to stay away from spoilers so far, but once the game comes out I'm gonna b playing and searching stuff online like crazy

Kind of. I'm avoiding seeing things that I'd like to experience for myself first, but I've been picking and choosing what I look at.

I just hope some people will be considerate to others when it comes to posting spoilers!

I would say that I'm consuming more info than I expected myself to, but I am trying to avoid any sort of videos involving showing first days and first times doing things, I want to experience those on my own. I would say that I'm still firmly in the, I'm not exactly sure how things are going to happen, zone, but I have seen a lot.

I would say that tomorrow is probably going to go very slow for me waiting for midnight to hit, so I really don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow, but I do see myself eagerly watching a lot of animal crossing videos with content that I have already seen to fill the animal crossing shaped void in my heart without spoiling myself. I really hope I don't accidentally spoil myself, or purposely do it out being impatient.

i am. i’m currently avoiding all of the new videos that are being uploaded and will be avoiding tbt starting thursday night until i get the game for myself aha

I've seen a couple reviews, but that's about it. I know some people got the game early so I'm trying to avoid any leaks or information that would spoil the first couple days for me. I probably won't be doing a lot of digging when the game finally releases but I'm sure I'll look into some info here and there.

Something I’ve been genuinely curious about is how spoilers will be handled once the game is available to everyone—specifically, spoiler content from time travel.

I’ve not been playing the series long enough to have witnessed any of the previous releases, so I don’t know what the forum’s stance on info gained that way is. Is there an etiquette of putting it behind spoiler tags, or will there maybe even be a sub forum dedicated to it?

This isn’t a moral judgement of tt-ing—I just want to know what to be prepared for, and how to limit my exposure to those spoilers as much as possible ;ェ;

I'm living for spoilers right now I guess. I understand not wanting to see everything, but I'm personally glad I did, because now I have a course of action.

there's some things that I don't want to see, so I avoid those, but I'm looking at everything else. once the game is released though, i'm blocking everything animal crossing related so i don't see any screenshots until I get my game (which is gonna be like a week later lmao)

I don't really care if things get spoiled for me tbh, I like to have some knowledge of things ahead of time but as of rn I'm just watching reviews on YT and even they have embargo's on what they can/can't say
