You are a bit lost on the site aren't you?
Let me help you out.

In the "Town Hall" section, there are 3 boards: The Bulletin Board (Don't worry, you're not a mod so you wont need to worry about it) But that is where staff members will give us updates about the forums
Then there is "The Bell Tree HQ" There you may post anything that is related to The Bell Tree, with 2 subforums of "Retired Boards" (again, don't worry these are jsut boards that aren't in use anymore, but you can still read them) and "Introduction Board" This is where all the new memebrs post to introduce them selves.
Underneath the HQ, you will See "TBT Market Place" You go there if you are buying anything with your TBT Bells (thr currency of the site) you may buy items on Animal Crossing, or even buy Avitars or Signature, or maybe other stuff, like Tom's Pokemon Shop Where you may buy Pokemon for your games (if you own a Pokemon game that is).

The next catagory you shall notice is "Animal Crossing". The boards in use are: "Animal Crossing: City Folk" - This is where members post the newest DLC's to the game, and also post anything AC:CF related. They also might just want to post some screen shots of their town. There is a subforum which I have jsut discovered even exists at TBT, it is "Guides and Research" Check out the forum to get a better understanding of how the game works and such
The next forum is "The Gate". This is pretty self explanitory. You may go here to trade FC's with players or join a group - Though some members are crooked and my ruin your town, Don't worry, Nobody on TBT is like that. A subforum in The Gate are "Town Profiles" Here you go to view profiles about other players towns. You should check it out there are quiet a few nice towns I have seen.
Next you will notice the "Auction House" This is also self explanitory, too. You come here if you are looking for a certain item in the game, or simply looking for a job to earn you extra Bells.
Next up is "Animal Crossing: Wild World" Here you discuss anything related to the DS version, but this is one of the less active boards at TBT
Next is "General AC Discussion" Here you discuss any other versions of Animal Crossing not mentioned in the above boards, with a subforum called "Animal Crossing" This is where you discuss the GameCube version of Animal Crossing.
You will soon notice " The Town" Which has some very ncie aspects, The "Gamers' Lounge" Where you may discuss various gamine on forums like: Wii And Virtual Console, Nintendo DS, Legacy Systems Oor just gaming in General.
Next we reach "The Museum" Here is where members show off their Signatures, Avitars, or other artworks they have created them selves.
We soon reach the "Off Topic" section, You come here to discuss anything that isn't related to The Bells Tree, Gaming ot Animal Crossing.
We hit "Brewsters Cafe" Here you drop everything that matters and discuss anything you want. Two subforums loacted here are "Forum Games" where if you have a games. And "Advertisements" But you must have atleast 41 posts to post there.
We soon reach "The Acre" Where there are 3 Joinable Groups The three groups are - ACCityFolk YouTubers: Where anyone who likes the ACcityfolk Youtube Channel should join. The EPIC: Where if you are European you may join, but Europeans only, and finally we reach Team Rocket: Which is the secret HQ for Rocket Grunts.

I hope I helped in you Learning The Ropes here at TBT, If you have a question jsut PM a staff member. I feel liek I have already slightly robbed them of their jobs.
