Hi there!

So I'm going on a trip to China on sunday. The flight is pretty long, so I'm looking for a few good books to take with me! I'm not a big reader, so I have no idea how to look for books I might like.
I'm a 21 year old female, not sure if that has anything to do with it, lol!

Can you give me some recommendations?

THANKS

I liked Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, I've tried reading her other books but just haven't been able to get into them.

Dude, once you start reading you just start hoarding collecting books. Some favs of mine are The Wise Man's Fear by Pathrick Rothfuss, if you like fantasy you will love this. If you want some thing 'darker' and creepy you can try reading 'Alice' by Christina Henry, a much darker re-telling of the original story.

'Stolen' by Lucy Christopher. Story about a girl that got kidnapped although the way it is written is really great and makes for a enjoyable read, deffo takes a different direction then normal 'kidnapped' novels.

'Shadow and Bone' by Leigh Bardugo. I really love this book and its a trilogy! {Grisha Trilogy} Full of adventure, romance and mystery, this is one trilogy that I keep coming back to and re-reading.

Hope that some of these gain interest for you and if you would like some more recommendations I got loads. ^^'

If you're looking for something light and easy to binge read YA series are incredible for this. Air Awakens (5bks) by Elise Kova, The Selection (5bks) by Kiera Cass, and The Lone City (3bks) by Amy Ewing are all series I binge-read in a matter of days. While not stories I've read past the first book of yet, Delirium by Lauren Oliver and Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard both have really solid starts.

If you're interested in more adult content (horror/erotic/romance) I'd be happy to send some recommendations via PM.

If you haven't read many classics, I suggest you read The Hobbit. A simple read but it's worth it and very applicable in today's world. Also, say hi to my grandparents who are in Guangzhou, China right now!

My favorite book in the whole entire freakin' world is "Where The Red Fern Grows" by Wilson Rawls!

The book got turned into a movie and the turnout was actually really good! I enjoy both.

I've read the book countless times and watched the movie 3-4 times.

BEST BOOK EVER!

Although they aren't easy books to read, Stephen King books are masterpieces. His best books include The Dead Zone, Pet Sematary (yes, he spells it like that), Revival (if you're looking for a more recent and easier-to-find book by him) or Carrie for a shorter read. Carrie was his first book from (I think) the 70's.

For an easy read (considering you're typically not a reader), I recommend a Young Adult (YA) book series. This could be The 5th Wave, The Maze Runner, The Hunger Games or heck, even Harry Potter!

You could also read some true crime books if you're into true crime and/or studying psychology. I recommend Born Or Bred? Martin Bryant: The Making of a Mass Murderer; The Spider & The Fly; Sue Klebold's A Mother's Reckoning or even killers' manifestos like Elliot Rodger's My Twisted World. You could also read journal entries from mass killers like Dylann Roof, Dylan Klebold, Kipland Kinkel or Eric Harris.

jesus h christ don't get me started when talking about reading dude. i could go on for HOOOUUUURRRSSS.
