Bad Visitors

Has anyone had a bad experience with other people coming into their towns? I haven't had one yet, which probably makes me very lucky! Or just super anti-social! xD What's the worst visitor-experience you've had with NL? Does it make you super nervous to have more people in your town?

I think we have it good here, since there seems to be hardly any trouble on the fourms and most gatherings and business tends to go down well, or least handled to an acceptable level.

Personally, I haven't had any bad experiences and I go on wifi quite often. Though I wish sometimes some of my hosts weren't so quick to end the session, I tend to reward them after helping me with something and I am quite willing to hand it over for anyone that helps me out as a gesture of good will.

I've been lucky with people I've found online, they all have a certain level of maturity. In fact I've even left my town online overnight with no ill consequences. Then again when I visit I act how I'd like visitors to act so maybe people are just returning that? Either way I've been very lucky so far.

I haven't actually Wi-Fi'ed yet with anyone, but learning from people's bad experiences, I'll always be careful with how I do so.

I've only met up with a few people. Several from the forums, and one friend who lives an hour away, so I haven't had any issues, thankfully.

The worst experience I have had was at Club Tortimer when a creepy dude asked me for my Facebook account...
Other than that, every time I was on wifi with someone from these forums it has been a breeze and there are some really funny/kind people on these forums. I encourage people to make friends with some of them! It's more fun than just playing on your own

Luckily they were still there after I came back from being afk and I flicked my wifi off ^0^

Haven't run into any bad visitors yet... *knock on wood* So far, people who've visited have been more than happy to help me out and I return the favor.

As for anyone who has, that really sucks. Some people can be real jerks .

It's happened to me where I open my gate for one person and some other dude will stop by without permission - I hate it when that happens especially if it's during a trade.

I once had a girl shake all my trees down and dig up my bushes. Then the same girl came when I was visiting my friends town and wouldn't go anywhere near me saying I stole my friends black tulip when really we all saw her pick it up. and re plant it somewhere else.

Two incidents;

My sister afked on her 3DS whilst her town was open, and a person she randomly added came in and stole everything, then left so she never knew who it was. Luckily her friend duped items for her

I had a person come over once and apparently Pango was thinking of moving out, and somehow that person stole pango and she left 4 days after mysteriously.

I haven't had too bad experiences, but unfortunately I've added some people run through my town, literally right through a line of flowers. Like, really? That's kind of the one golden rule of visiting other people's towns. It was partially my fault because these people were the friends I added from Club Tortimer, not anyone from here, and since then I've learned not to add anyone from CT anymore.

I haven't been game enough to let people visit my town yet, other than my close IRL friends. I have read some pretty bad stories... so when I ever DO accept visitors it will be with caution.

Have yet to encounter a really awful visitor. Fingers crossed.
Members here are pretty decent and polite. I think though if you randomly added someone from somewhere and invited them in, that would be a disaster for sure.

One time, this member on the forums came over for a trade and took a bunch of GOLD ore that he didn't pay for, and I didn't hit the switch, since another person was over at the time and we were finishing up a really long bell trade. I got really pissed, since gold ore is hard to get. Now, I've learned my lesson, and that's only to trade with people I know are certified good traders.

On one of my previous saves I had somebody come into my town and run all over my hybrids. They were a new player so I just think it was them not knowing rather than it being on purpose.
