Ball jointed dolls...

So cute! I don't know why I don't really care for Blythes but I know they have a huge following... I think maybe their eyes and heads are just TOO big for me and it creeps me out a little. XD

Thank you! c: And yeah, I know a lot of people who don't care for Blythes. XD I actually like their big eyes! I find them to be really expressive. I guess I don't mind that they're a little creepy because I like creepy/cute things in general, so they kinda fit my aesthetic. c;

Thanks! c: I've never been brave enough to try customizing one of my dolls! That's really cool that you're into customizing, though. c:

I so happy to see everyone posting thier dolls & interests! Mine should be coming within a day or two!!

I got my boy in the mail, and already about to ship his back out so he can go get a face up and body blushing. I found the artist I am going with, thankfully here in the states so I wont have to wait forever for shipping. He's already so cute, I'm just waiting on his wigs and clothes to get in so I can send him to the artist with his wig for color matching his brows. =D

That's the best part, is you can re-do it however many times you watch. There are a lot of really nice tutorials on youtube I used to love watching Monster High repaints because I have a bunch that I want to repaint someday. =D

Yeah! I finally have her face painted but Now Im working on her wig!

Bumping this to post pictures of Jaeger, my BJD.

I also have a second BJD now, and Jaeger JUST got sent off for his face-up cause I've been dead broke for a while now.

Anyways, I just want to spam Jaeger and show off my new girl, who probably would have been my grail doll, had I know she existed before I saw her and bought her. XD
He still doesn't have a face in these photos but here he is trying on some his clothes and adventuring in the Redwoods with his daddy.

She's going to be repainted and this is her with her factory paint how I got her, I've since removed her tattoo and ordered her a head and wig and eyes and everything and have been planning out what to do with her.

Sorry for the spam but I am just really into BJDs right now, it's my big new hobby so I thank this post for kind of rekindling my desire to buy one, because now I am in deep. I'm planning on starting up sculpting and sewing again to make things for my children so it's really a great hobby for me since it's pulling me out of my artistic slump!!!!

My husband wants some. He really likes them, but never told anyone because it isn't very manly. I love the guy so he's gon get him some bjd's.

I like to use them for drawing. They're fun to pose. Mine are just plain, but there are some neat ones you can that are decorated.

I'm part of a BJD group on FB and there are a TON of guys that collect! I hate that people thing dolls are girly and just for kids. Like BJDs aren't for kids man, they're expensive and easy to mess up it's definitely a hobby for adults and not exclusive to one gender!

Yeah, BJDs are definitely not for kids. I can see teens getting into them potentially, but kids? Nuh uh. They're too expensive and too fragile. Some of 'em are too limited edition too. If a kid breaks a Barbie, well, you can go to Walmart and buy another one for like $15-20 or whatever they cost nowadays. If a kid breaks a BJD, you're out hundreds of dollars and that particular one you may not be able to find again if they didn't make very many.
