Bamboo?

I got some bamboo from an island, planted it, and saw it produce buried shoots once, but haven't seen them since. Are the new shoots a one time thing or will they respawn like in New Leaf?

I'm interested in learning more about this too. I planted a full grown bamboo tree and haven't seen any shoots at all from it.

Hey, yeah. Same boat. I do not think they'll regrow. I'm pretty mad about it too because when I finally got a bamboo island my pockets were full with hybrids and I had no room to take back more then one seed, which I thought would be fine because hey, they spread right? Guess not. Just plant the new seed, wait for that one to make one, plant it again.. Only solution right now..

Seconding this. From old games, I used to remember how they would reproduce shoots like absolute crazy. It was annoying but I'm wishing they did at least a little, I need more bamboo. :/

I've been chopping the wood on the island, taking the shoots, and the whole trees to replant, after hitting them.

All of my Bamboo, except one, are dug up using fruit energy. I haven't seen a shoot sprout from one yet, and they've been on my island for.. three days now? This is likely the issue at hand.

Have more shoots appeared though? Mine is fully grown and it left a single seed then never made more.

I grew three bamboos from shoots. They finished growing today and 3 new shoots appeared.

smh i have a bad habit of misreading posts because i skim too fast, and i just realized what op was talking about. (so sorry about that!) thinking back to it, i don't think mine grew more than one. if this is a decision that they decided to go with for acnh, it's kinda weird and disappointing.
