Guest, you're invited to help build our new TBT time capsule! It contains three parts, with some of its elements planned to open in 2029 and others not until the distant future of 2034. Get started in 2024 Community Time Capsule: Blueprints.
Okay I thought the villager dialogue was more unique, but in the last two days, I've been told by Curt (twice today) and Cyrano (twice yesterday) that I'm snail-like. Hmm...

I'm starting to think that the Acorn Festival is preventing things like Redd from showing up, but I don't really know.
Took me until a couple days ago to realize that the money rocks can be hit multiple times and you can get a good amount of money from them. I thought it was one hit for some reason, so I would only get a hundred bells the first times I did it.

Took me almost as long to realize that items are in trees just like NH, and that you can't actually catch the bees that chase you.
On a different note, the acorn festival ends tomorrow and it's a little bittersweet because I'm excited for new stuff but also somewhat enjoyed it because I was able to get some furniture for free just by trading in the acorns that really helped me be able to store stuff in my house. Though quickly after I got the mushroom dresser, I got a regal dresser and a blue dresser... So there is that lol
Samson it's also officially moved out as of yesterday, not sure when I'll get a new villager but I'm looking forward to seeing a new face.

One thing I'm actually enjoying is that a lot of the items I'm finding in this are the same as items that are in pocket camp, where none of the items that I found in pocket camp for the most part I can get in New Horizons. So far I've collected 232 acorns for Cornimer and I just got the forest floor and realize it looks like the tree stump rug thing from pocket camp that I really liked, so I'm excited!

Yay! Sable knows my name!

Just as I thought, I've collected all the acorn items that I can, and you bet that my house is all mushroom and forest themed now lol

Not being able to run around in my house because the B button is also for picking stuff up does drive me a bit crazy
Got my 3DS in! Well, 2DS XL technically. Happy to see that it doesn't stretch Wild World terrible, but it keeps the aspect ratio on the screen. Loving it so far! Still not seeing anyone replace Samson, but time will tell.
While I am enjoying Wild World for what it is, it does tend to drag if I'm trying to play for more than a couple of hours a day. I always talk to Brewster and Sable every day, send some letters with gifts, talk to villagers, look for fossils, check out the shops, and hit the money rock. On my route to do all of that I'll catch some fish or bugs and collect seashells to sell to Tom Nook, but that's about it. I found in NH that with the island decorating it was able to keep me entertained much longer, especially early on. The Nook Miles achievements really helped that, as did the Nook Islands and crafting. I am enjoying playing it much more on the 3DS though. Bigger screen, easier to see things.
At this moment in time, if I was to say NH was 5/5 stars, Wild World would be at 3.5/5 stars. It's of course hard to compare a game from what, 2005, 2006, with a game from 2020, but I'm trying to simply look at the overall enjoyability. I still think Pokemon Blue and Silver are way better than anything in Gen 3, 4, or 5, so it has nothing to do with age or graphics and 100% to do with the content.
New Leaf is coming in today, but I'm sad to say I've decided to stop playing Wild World. While I can put aside the substantial amount of differences between NH and WW, there just isn't enough in WW to keep me excited about it, and yesterday Tom Nook's shop was closed which kind of left me bored once again for a full day. Arguably that's not different from how NH starts off, but there was enough to keep me occupied early on with the museum and whatnot. Also arguably, fall is a terrible time to start playing because there seem to be way more critters in Summer. Either way, I'm putting it down. I'm going to jump over to New Leaf and see how that goes.
I'm glad you enjoyed the game, it doesn't have as much to offer as New Horizons but I think it's still a great game. For me, it was WW the game that introduced me to the series (the memories). But anw, I really do recommend New Leaf, I think it's the best game they've done so far. I really admire you buying the old games and your interest about knowing the history of AC
