If your mum got 400 Bells from 90,000 Bells, then that means that leelu was correct:

'Real banks usually calculate interest based on the average you had in your account over the past month... ...my theory seemed to stand in Wild World banking.'

In that case, the equation just has to be changed a little:

Instead of O being 'Original Amount of Money', it's 'Average Amount of Money throughout the Month'.

But when they count the money for the day I wouldn't know...

Sorry...

Yea, she was prob correct, plus idk what you half said there o_O

math... so confusing but so important... I hate it and love it at the same time... but this equation is making my brain hurt

My guess on the "when" would be 6:00 AM, because that's when everything else in the game resets for the day.

Good point...

Then you'd have to record how many bells are in your bank everyday...

In terms of the equation:

1. You'd have to add all the values together...
2. Divide them by the no. of days there are in the month...
3. Replace 'O' (in the equation) with what you get.

And I'd say this is quite a LOT of work anyways... And to properly calculate how much you get, you'd have to wait until the last day of the month!

I say just stick to the idea that you get 'half a percent' in intrest every period.

(That is unless you deposit and withdraw a lot...)

General Idea:

Every 200,000 Bells in the bank gives you an extra 1,000 Bells in intrest.

Therefore, 1,000,000 Bells rakes you 5,000 Bells in intrest.
