Beginning of game Questionnaire

Who do you think will be asking us questions this time? Do you think they will have any questions to ask since we can now customize our own face/hair? Maybe it will determine our starter tropical-shirt color? Maybe they will ask us if we are an early bird or night owl (and this would determine shop times?)? What do you think it's going to be like?
Drop your ideas cause I've been thinking about it lately and I'm really curious.

I really hope that rover and porter still have roles in this game

Well since we can come to the conclusion that there is more than one person on the airplane (since 2 other villagers join you) so we can assume there is another seat there for Rover. Dodo is there to fly the plane most likely and Kapp'n job is to take you to the town of buildings, similar to his duties in City Folk.

This is just assumption though.

I'm thinking either we won't get questions, or else the pilot bird in the new images might ask us. As for what, I'm not sure. It'd be sort of redundant to ask us question about features we'll be able to change later, and I'm hoping we'll get something to replace the ordinances. Maybe they could be questions about the island we're going to - we'd get to choose a map again, maybe also our native fruit, and possibly something like climate, which I think has always been a fan-suggested feature.

I would doubt that they'd have anyone other than rover at the beginning of the game, he's a classic character and one important notion that I think all good developers have is respect for the fans' love of classic characters. Not only that but if you look at the whole concept of New Horizons it's clear that they were listening to what people asked for, so not including rover for his classic cameo would be disappointing at the very least.

I like these ideas. Not sure about the native fruit, though. That's meant to be random, no? Unless they do it like they did w/ the maps and give us like 4 options to choose from, that would be neat.

I haven't played Wild World in over a decade.
I saw Rover quite a bit, but that was in the Roost.

Kapp'n drove the taxi in Wild World.

So, it might start off in the hall where the Getaway Package is being advertised (you know, like the recent teaser trailer), and there will probably be a few villagers in there.
You might be able to choose two or scan two in via Amiibo. ‧˚₊*̥(∗︎*⁰͈꒨⁰͈)‧˚₊*̥

You decide to sit with the two villagers
(or it could be optional like: [not bothered who I sit with] )



Then, Rover comes bobbing up to you, and asks if he can sit with the group and starts asking you a bunch of questions that will, for the first time determine your personality, favourite fruit and preferences etc

Then the audience will be asked for silence as the getaway package plays and everything fades into darkness.

You will be asked by Rover if you're going to take the plunge to explore new horizons and a bunch of answers which essentially force you to say [yes] will appear - they also shape your character.



Then when you're on the plane, Rover's excited to be travelling on a plane and is proud of all his travelling years of experience!
You're with the two villagers who are both excited and they tell you that you need to go freshen up!
Whilst you're facing the mirror in the airplane toilet, you change your face/hair/mouth etc and rejoin your group.
Rover takes in your appearance in shock whilst the two villagers say you look more like you now!



Rover ends up being left on the plane because he falls asleep or gets abducted by aliens but he's happy because that's another method of transport to add to his list! ₍ᐢ⸝⸝? ̫ ?⸝⸝ᐢ₎


Probably extremely off the mark but it kinda popped into my head! And I'm so sorry for the joke at the end and the fact that this turned into some sort of terribly written fanfiction!!! Myahahaha!



I only made the silly Star Fox one. Other pictures are from Google and kudos to the artist/creators.

Oh yeah So the Dodo Pilot will blast out an announcement that the plane will be landing shortly.
You know when you fly you have little TV screens on the backs of chairs in front of you?
This will display the island maps that are part of the packages.
Rover will ask you which one you thought looked the best and what the name was...
Then it's landing time! I don't know why, but I'm imagining Porter in an air stewardess uniform with makeup! Anyway that's all I can think of.
