Berries or fruit

I do like both (aren't berries fruits though?) but blueberries are my favourite fruit/berry so I voted for berries!

I generally like fruit better than berries. Certain berries can be too tart for me and I usually prefer lighter flavors like plums, nectarines, and pears.

I love fruit AND berries, so both for me! :) My dream is to one day try every fruit and berry that the world has to offer (including the mysterious and elusive paw-paw!) The only fruit I absolutely hate is pineapple because it tastes to me like bile.

I love them both! Watermelon is my favorite fruit of all time but I also really like oranges, bananas, strawberries, and grapes. Kiwis are also really nice but I barely can ever find them, peaches are pretty nice too.

I don't really have an opinion tbh. I don't like a lot of berries, but I don't like too many fruits either.

Favorites would be pineapple, peaches, nectarines, grapes, and that's pretty much it.

I love both! Blueberries are probably my favorite food though so maybe berries a little more.

I’m pretty sure OP meant non-berry fruits in their title. It gets even crazier if you take that post to mean botanical berries
Ah, okay. Haha. I felt like I was in the twilight zone for a minute. Like, what lie have I been living?

How are berries classified in botanical terms?

How are berries classified in botanical terms?
Any (non-leathery-skinned) fruit that has a lot of seeds on the inside; that’s why the fruits I mentioned on the first are berries botanically while strawberries are NOT (since their seeds are on the outside).

While I do like both, I like how small and easy berries are to eat. No peeling, no cutting, still gott wash, but very minimal to no prep required. Just eat.

i like both. fresh berries are quite expensive so i don't eat them very often, especially not during winter or fall (or spring, lol). i eat fruit pretty much every single day.

I'm astonished reading this thread because I genuinely didn't know that pineapples and bananas are berries. My mind is freaking blown. I knew that tomatoes were a sketchy thing and they could fit in multiple different categories but I definitely didn't know this about other things. I agree with the above commenter who said their whole life has been a lie :D😅

I voted for berries.

Fruit
Papaya > Cherries > Mango
It’s all based on botany: any fruit with a bunch of seeds on the inside is a berry. It’s the same driving principle for the argument on whether tomatoes are fruits or vegetables (botanically it’s a fruit but culinarily it is a vegetable).
By that definition a lot of fruits are categorizes as berries.... 😱 Thanks for the fun fact!

Berries because apparently that's what bananas are, and I love them with peanut butter.

Never thought to search about fruits v.s. berries - interesting!

I like it all. I don't really discriminate when it comes to fruits, berries, veggies. Meat is what I'm picky about.

I like both? Like others have said, pineapples and bananas are berries. Can't discriminate now <:
