I’m pretty sure OP meant non-berry fruits in their title. It gets even crazier if you take that post to mean botanical berriesCan somebody explain to me why berries aren't considered fruit? D:
Ah, okay. Haha. I felt like I was in the twilight zone for a minute. Like, what lie have I been living?I’m pretty sure OP meant non-berry fruits in their title. It gets even crazier if you take that post to mean botanical berries
Any (non-leathery-skinned) fruit that has a lot of seeds on the inside; that’s why the fruits I mentioned on the first are berries botanically while strawberries are NOT (since their seeds are on the outside). How are berries classified in botanical terms?
my whole life has been a lieFun fact: pineapples, bananas and pumpkins are berries, while strawberries are NOT berries. Have fun with that knowledge
By that definition a lot of fruits are categorizes as berries.... Thanks for the fun fact! It’s all based on botany: any fruit with a bunch of seeds on the inside is a berry. It’s the same driving principle for the argument on whether tomatoes are fruits or vegetables (botanically it’s a fruit but culinarily it is a vegetable).
