i think the perception is that pears and oranges are rare...

i've always started with apples and cherries, but this time it was pears! agree that it really depends on what your wifi friends have and don't have.

Really, I`d just be happy with anything other than Pears.(Me and my sister`s GCN, DS, and Wii towns have always started with them. But I do think that Cherrys are rarer, just because I almost never see people start with them.

All fruit have the same chance of being your native fruit.
Using this knowledge, and because I like peaches, apples have a bigger chance of being your native fruit.
