This is a question that I've been wondering for a while now. for example, the apple collectible. how often are things like these restocked? if I keep checking the shop, Is there a good chance I'll stumble upon something valuable in stock? back to the apple. when I looked, people were selling them for 2k each. considering the shop sales them for only 200, I'm guessing that any sort of restock is rare. but is there a post that outlines the last time certain items were restocked, so that I can estimate the average frequency of such restocks? Also, event collectibles (such as the spring shamrock.) Do they come back every year, or are they a one-time deal? I'm curious about these forum collectibles, but it's hard to tell just how to play it right so you end up gaining and not losing money. And I've seen the "Market Price summary of collectibles" post, so you don't need to link that here. I understand that, but at the moment I'm looking to buy from the actual shop and not other players. thanks for reading this text wall, and I'd appreciate any sort of advice from you more seasoned players. thank you~

They're restocked 1-3 times a year, maybe? The best thing to do is work hard to earn TBT so you can buy one from someone. Of course, if you're lucky, you'll actually be online during a restock. Even so, you'd better be fast because only a handful are released each time!

You have to be at the right place and at the right time to be able to get any; or be willing to pay a ton for them. Also, sometimes buying from other people on here is good, because even though it is still more than shop price, the prices on some of the rarer ones will eventually inflate more if they're not restocked, which means you can easily make profit from buying/selling at the right time and use that profit to build your collection.

Also, a lot of the event items are one time deals. The TBT Beach Party, Spellectables, and smamrocks are a few that are likely never going to be restocked, which means their prices will almost definitely inflate a lot more by the end of the year; and it also means the only way to get any is to pay the outrageous market price.

the best way is to either have Javocado's thighs, or to go right now and spam-vm Jacob's homepage for the next ten days...
