Billington:An Island Chock Full O' Ducks

I got a visit from Feldman,the rep from my other island,Hollyfeld.He was named after a character from Seinfeld.

It's kinda weird to have a deep attachment to a large metal disc but it is a rather nice large metal disc.

Be careful fishing near the cliff,Pompom.It's a good two and a half foot drop.Geez,what if somebody really did get hurt on the island?We don't have a doctor....all we have are little bags of medicine.Would that fix a wounded wing or a bent bill?

Quillson is thrilling the lady ducks with his golden pipes and downtown fashion sense..........

....but Scoot tries to steal the show with his chiseled physique and manly presence.

Oooo....Ketchup brought me a thing.........

........yes,that is the thing I wanted.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming:

Billington has been on a bit of a hiatus due to the TBT blogging contest thingamajig.We do have a couple of new additions to the island....

We finally have all of the co-op shops:

We also have a new ducky on the island:

Here is the new ducky's house....

And here is the new ducky ...it's Pate.

I really like Pate's house both inside and outside.

Hmm,Quillson with a blonde afro.......he might look like a shorter,greener Bob Ross.

This is the kind of conversation you get when you have three peppy ducks on an island.

Yoo hoo.....Mr.Bunny!Why don't you come and get that big,delicious looking carrot that's sitting directly in front of the running tractor that's ready to roll at a second's notice........?

Here are some very important events that have been happening on Billington lately:

Drake ran around like a maniac while wearing a loud Hawaiian shirt......

Scoot gave Ducky a fashionably inappropriate outfit............

Molly wanted to talk about cockroaches.......

.......and she said "lollipop".

Ducky sold a yellow scooter to Maelle which was actually meant for Scoot.......

Tommy made an extremely rare appearance outside of Nook's Cranny.Is it just me or does he look a lot shorter when he's not in the shop?...............

...........and for the grand finale,Maelle finally gave Ducky her photograph.Apparently,Maelle has a weakness for rare mushrooms.

A pensive Mallary stares off into the ether and contemplates the meaning of life while several species of ants tickle her butt.

Wow,is that one of those crazy mixed drinks with a little parasol,a flower and six pounds of fruit as a garnish??Yummy.

So what are you incineratin' there,pal?Just because we're the only two humans on this island doesn't mean we're an item.However,I've heard that Otto does have a fondness for large headed,multi-colored water fowl.

Here's something that's never happened before for me in AC: I got three villager photos in one day.This island has been around for over two years and I finally have a decent number of photos.It's funny but the ducks in my New Leaf duck town,Quackle,were just as stingy with their pics.Must be a duck thing.

I can't let this guy leave.I'd miss that big green orb of a noggin too much.Back in the days of my New Leaf duck town Quackle,a friend of mine let me adopt Drake from their town and he quickly became one of my favorite villagers.I didn't have him for long because one day not long after acquiring him I opened up my game and he was in boxes thanks to New Leaf's unrelenting way of dictating which villagers stay and which ones go.I'm glad they fixed that for New Horizons.This Drake isn't going anywhere.

What,this old thing?It's just something I threw on.....yeah....I'm lookin' good..............

There were many ducks in the plaza in the preview......of course when I started the game,there were no ducks in the plaza.

I'm a tornado twerp.

Guess who's coming to Billington.........well,she would be if she was a duck.

Mystery man Otto reemerged from his long absence and most of the duckies were very happy to see him........

....like I said,most of the duckies were glad to see Otto.He is pretty much staring at her.....geez,he's makin' me kinda nervous......

Miss Deena paid a visit to The Brewster's At Billington.How does a duck drink coffee from a cup with a bill?

Well,she's not one for subtlety is she?We shall see,ducky girl...we shall see.

Not much is new here on Billington....just a bit of nuclear weapons testing.Oh,and Maelle got a new kimono.

Here is The Official Natural Rock Formation of Billington.Impressive,ain't it?Would people pay a smattering of bells to see this?

Heh,Kapp'n will probably have an electric motor in the next game.I just noticed that Kapp'n has a drawing of himself taped to the inside of his boat.Looks like Leila's work

Whoa,Ducky's love for pop music has driven Pate to a bill-curling fit of disgust.......

First Fireworks Show of 2023

Oh yeah,she's busy standing in the same place for fourteen hours.That dog must have incredibly strong legs.

The duckies seemed to be having a good time watching the fireworks.Redd always looks like he's up to something......

Yo,Redd...these tickets all have the same number!What's the big idea??Now I have 47 Uchiwa fans.

The duckies' heads got even bigger last night.I'm not sure who some of those villagers are in the last couple of panels.....

A Visit To the Dream Island of Gnomia (DA-8319-8742-5445)

YouTuber laurjine announced that she was resetting her color themed island of Gnomia so I went in for one last peek.Laurjine's gaming channel is unique and weird but that's probably why I like it.She's certainly not for everybody.....I'll just say that her language is just as um...colorful as her island.

It was a nice island.I don't know how unique color themed islands are but this is the first one I've seen.It lagged a bit because there's a lot of stuff on it.

Yo,Ketchup.....it's me,yer ol' pal Ducky!Geez,it's like she's under some kind of forgetting spell.

Meanwhile,back on Billington:

Another late summer day on ducky island.

Drake finally gave up his photo.Now all my ducky pics are in a row.....except for Scoot's.

Eh.....did you just escape from prison?Are you a cast member of that old PBS show called "Zoom"?Are you a pirate?Did you wanna look like a bumble bee?Is the striped shirt from the clothing line of that famous designer Linus Van Pelt?Are you a zebra fan?Are you pretending to be Where's Waldo?

Here's a day in the life(:Los Beatles) of the island that's chock full o' ducks:

Yes,Pompom is indeed sick.She's wearing the Official Animal Crossing Illness Cap and the Official Animal Crossing Illness Pajamas and also has the Official Animal Crossing Illness Perspiration.I will give her the Official Animal Crossing Bag O' Medicine so she'll feel all better.

I planted green mums around Quillson's house in keeping with the green theme: green duck+green flowers=green theme.But it seems I neglected to do the same over at Ketchup's place......

...and speaking of Quillson.Yes,according to the ACVU(Animal Crossing Villager Union)contract,all villagers are entitled to one uninterrupted ten minute break per play session.Enjoy,pal.

I'm not sure why I planted pink mums around Ketchup's house but I'm fixing that today.Red roses comin' right up...

It seems that most people who play Animal Crossing think that Molly is the cutest ducky in the game.It's hard to disagree with that but I think all the ducks are at least kind of cute.(While I was pondering this I noticed a photo bombing Drake in the background displaying bug-eyed fascination over a very large bug-eyed bug.)

My cutest ducky can speak Spanish.Impressive,ain't it?

Meanwhile,at The Roost.......wow,I'm gonna remember to bring an instant-read thermometer for my next visit.Looks like Resetti is in the house........

Ya think?But wow,Resetti has done a complete 180.I guess even a tiger can change his stripes...or even a mole can change his....fur?

I've been making some changes around Billington.The campsite has moved to the upper deck where it should have been in the first place..........

...the tacky carnival has been moved to the former site of Otto's house and the campsite..............

.....and Otto's house has been moved to the south beach where the tacky carnival was.Now Otto can really work on his tan.

Pompom took pity on Ducky and finally gave up her photo.Now I'll just have to wait another two years for Derwin's photo.

It's snowing on Billington.There will be the sound of webbed feet tramping through the snow very soon.

It's 6:15 in the morning and Molly wants a wharf roach.Ew.Don't people try to keep these nasty bugs out of their homes and not willingly invite them in?Well,Molly is a ducky and not a people.Maybe she wants to have it as a snack later.

Maelle wanted to get all of her daily greetings out of the way in one shot.

A duck named Pompom should be wearing a cheerleader uniform.

Now Derwin has suits with a regular necktie and a bow tie.

Drake has taken on the persona of an Italian street tough in that outfit.He's been saying"whaddaya need","fuhgetabboudit" and "gabagool" a lot lately.

Hmm,is the sailor collar dress too girly-girl for a sophisticated snooty duck?

Heh...I just wanted to hear Scoot say "fuzzy".

Didn't The Quillson Show get cancelled a while back?I guess not.....he's still here.

I visited my New Leaf duck town,Quackle and thought I'd compare it to Billington:

I used some fake water paths on Quackle since ducks are closely associated with water but with waterscaping in New Horizons I didn't need them for Billington.

I used a brick path in both Quackle and Billington.

Ketchup doesn't look all that different.

I did some weird design things on Quackle like this Egyptian area.I've been more conservative on Billington.

No Joey on Billington but I do have a Derwin.

Ah,spring!When a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of.....ducks?I was fed up with the snow so I jumped ahead a few days to see the green.

It's been so long since I've seen the grass I'd kind of forgotten what Billington looked like under all that snow.

I finally got a proper microphone/music player setup but ran into some technical difficulties......my ducks were shorter than the jukebox.

There,now....that's better.I loaded K.K. Lullaby into the cute boombox and now Pompom is a regular customer behind the silver mic.

Quillson is so cool?I don't think anyone has ever used those words to describe Quillson.

Oh,my..................

Ducky flew to some of my Hemingway Islands to visit the off-island ducks Joey,Gloria and for the first time.........

.....Miranda.Personally,I'd love to put Miranda on Billington but then I'd have three snooty ducks.I like the snooty girls but two is plenty.

And speaking of snooty ducks,here's Maelle decked out in one of her more interesting outfits.Way to accessorize,girlfriend.

Ducky has been working on a super secret project on the upper deck of the island.What could it be?

Is somebody late?There seems to be an empty seat here.The girls express Zen-like annoyance directed at the dilatory duck.

Well,lazy Bill...nice of you to join the girls for early evening tea.My jock boys are taking on aspects of the other personalities.I think Bill's been hanging around Drake and Derwin for too long.

One of my favorite lazy boys visited Billington the other day.I was tempted to invite him to live here.Yeah,I know he's not a duck but if I squint really hard he kinda looks like one.Why do I always think of pizza when he's around?

Good golly Miss Molly had a birthday a few days ago.She's a Pisces just like Ducky.

Behold!I am Ducky,Queen of the Evil Army of Enchanted Garden Gnomes!Uh...that's a bit wordy don't you think?I hereby declare war on all of the neighboring islands including Gullah Gullah,Gilligan's Island,Fantasy Island and the Island of Doctor Moreau!You have been warned!

A new power is rising!It's victory is at hand.This day the land will be stained with .......fruits!A little non-chlorine bleach and some borax can help clean up those stains but I digress!To war!

Quillson's bill got all up in my grill when I demanded that he give up his seat for the day's pre-programmed plaza bench sitting villager Pompom.

Quillson was subsequently banished to broom duty for defying the computer gods that run the game.

Hmmm......I've never seen any of these flamingos actually eat anything.....or move for that matter.

Yeah....so I wore a frog costume to a duck party.Whadda you bird brains gonna do about it?
