Don't villagers after invited take a day to get their plot and then another day to be fully in, and a third day to be seen outside?

i think it's random when they decided where their plot goes. When i got Tangy it took 4 days before she had a space reserved.

Every time I've gotten a villager from somebody else, it's been the day right after I invited them to my town.

Kiki has already become one of my favourites ^u^
I TT'ed to get her fully in (no accidents happened during this TT) and she parked her house almost right by my home, made me laugh. I'm fine with it cause it isn't on my paths (was almost on my walk way path!) but it's about.. 5-7 squares from my home. Lol xD
