wow so uhhhh my art churn-out rate this year has been absolutely pathetic hehehe BUT... but but but... I'm making good stuff!
I started this drawing... ah geez, probably back in early May? I've been wanting to draw Prince Florian since he was first revealed waaaay back around the time that SMB Wonder was revealed. he's such a cute little wiggler bab hehe. it may have taken an unholy amount of time but I think the result was worth it!
also may or may not have tried to go crazy with the colours, and I may or may not think that I can do even more hehehehe -
just a quick one here, I'm excited because I finally learned how to make animated drawings in CSP!! I really wanted to make animated balloon images for my signature based on the new gradient balloons, so I came up with these very simple animations:
(and yes of course I had to make them sparkly hehehe)
I really like how these turned out!! and I'm tempted to not only make one for the regular shape balloon, but perhaps the other colours too? I think I'd love to make a rainbow balloon and with this I'm thinking that I'd love to try to make more animated drawings in the future! I already have a few ideas.
(also please do not use these without permission!!)

I'm gonna hold off on posting my fair art until the Canvas Crossing designs have been revealed, but in the meantime I have something unique!
I decided that I want to do acrylic painting, and what better subject to use than my lovely toucat Grace? I'm by no means a master painter but I think this turned out wonderful.

omg this is gorgeous, Bug!! Grace is such a unique and beautiful character; I love the concept of a rainbow toucat! I love how colourful and almost magical-feeling your art is, it always makes me happy to see.
I have a few commissions I'm working on and I won't show any of them here until all of them are done, but in the meantime I have some more traditional art to share
the first one here is a drawing that I made of three of my plushie characters! I drew Caroline a few years ago and I've been meaning to draw the other two, but only just now got around to it since I've been more interested in drawing the plushies lately. these three are sisters, with Pink being the oldest and Nevada being the youngest. I'll likely delve more into their personalities when I flesh out their toyhouse profiles, but for now I'll say that Pink is reserved and friendly, Caroline is flirty and bold, and Nevada is sporty and cheery!
and the second one is one that I've been working on periodically for a few weeks now. I had this cute idea to draw Solmew and Lumew twirling through space, and this is what I came up with! It was actually pretty difficult to do the background and I'm not sure if it came out just how I wanted it to, but I'm still very happy with this.
I am FINALLY here to share all the stuff that I made for TBT Fair 2024!
first I present... my entry for Colourful Confetti round 1! I decided to go traditional with this one as I've done in years past. I've been getting back into traditional art lately, and since this line art is so (gorgeously) detailed, I figured it would be nice to print it out and colour it. I also recently bought a white GellyRoll pen for detailing and outlining, so I wanted to try it out. I, um... ended up using most of my energy colouring this haha it took so many hours and it eventually got to point where it was a bit grueling. but I'm very pleased with the result, and I'm happy to see that after entering these contests every year they've been around since the 2017 Fair, I finally won a staff favourite again!
I did enter round 2, but since I used up all of my mental energy colouring the first page, I coloured the second one digitally. wasn't nearly as satisfying. I did print it out, so hopefully I can colour it the way I intended to at a later date.
next is my entry for A Cordial Invitation! I wasn't trying to make anything elaborate, I just wanted it to be colourful and sparkly and I wanted to add all the new gradient balloons! (I somehow forgot the rad balloon though, oopsies!) I'm also pretty sure that this is the first time I've ever drawn Isabelle hehehe.
next are my Canvas Crossing entries! I decided to draw the players of @/Shellzilla_515, @/Xara, and @/ZeldaCrossing64! I sincerely wish I could've made more, I really enjoyed drawing these three! drawing can take a lot out of me sometimes so I settled for this, but perhaps I'd be open to drawing more at a later date? please don't take my word for it though, I'm a tired Buggy
and lastly is my entry for Magnificent Memories. again, I didn't want to go all-out with this. I think this was one of the last things I made, and I was pretty worn out at this point. but I'm still happy with how it turned out! this is my NH player Taylor, holding two jars--one filled with moss balls and green babies, and the other filled with colourful nonpareils--and it's meant to represent that I've gotten the closest guess on, not one, but two different rounds of Count Inside the Bottle! the left jar has an arrow in it because I (miraculously) managed to guess the exact number of objects inside! with the second jar I came dangerously close, and with such a huge number it's a wonder how! I would say I guess I'm just really good at counting, but I absolutely bombed the second round of counting during this fair so I'm not so sure!
the Rainbow Crescent Moon represents the prize for the first bottle, and the golden sparkly balloon represents what I imagined could be the prize for the second (until the Galaxy Cupcake was revealed ofc).

Big congrats to @xSuperMario64x for getting the closest guess though! I need you to teach me your CITB ways
I'm working on one last commission and as soon as it's done I'll post all of my finished commissions here, but in the meantime I have a few more random drawings I want to share!
on Spetember 22nd I randomly decided that I would peek in the "Draw the User Above You" thread, and when I saw that Aquilla asked someone to draw Ralsei from Deltarune looking cute, I was like YES I'LL DO IT! I ended up doing the sketch and everything in less than two hours, which is kinda wild for me. I think it turned out pretty good hehe.
and then the other one is actually a drawing I finished yesterday of one of my plushie OCs! I might do a small redesign as I want her heels to be closer to the ground than they are, but the rest of it looks pretty okay! don't mind the fact that I did the outline in fine marker and couldn't fix my mistakes though oh and the colouring is in chalk for good measure. this whole drawing was kind of a mess, but hey, I want to embrace the mess and I'm happy with it.
this is the sketch I did beforehand, thought about leaving it like this but I wanted to be daring lol.
I've gotten a little behind on sharing stuff in this art thread because, well, I have a problem. but I'll cover that in a bit, and start off by sharing a few commissions that I've finished recently
first is a commission that I did for @/Suguri, since she traded me a Rainbow Balloon collectible (I still owe her my life lol). she requested that I draw her OC Crisp and @/ZeldaCrossing64's OC Char together, being affectionate but not necessarily intimate. I figured, okay, that's my safe zone anyway hehehe. so this is what I came up with! I'm happy with it, and she was happy with it too.
as you can see, they're vibing with a bluebird, a black feather, a blue rose, and a purple rose. those are collectibles which mean a lot to Suguri and Zelda. I also included a radio with the song "Wherever I May Roam" playing on it, since Suguri requested it be incorporated somehow and then I proceeded to get the song stuck in my head the entire time I was working on this (I don't listen to Metallica but I'm very familiar with their discography).
the next one is a commission which I made for @/FrostyAlmonds! it's almost like a follow-up to the commission which I made for them last year, this might just become a tradition for me hehe. I asked if I could go traditional, and they said that was fine, so I did a lot of experimenting with this drawing. I like how it turned out, and they did too!
the thing about traditional art is that, when you make a mistake, you have to accept it and move on. In a way I like that because it challenges me as an artist, both to perfect my craft and to accept that mistakes are what make life interesting, and every individual piece of art unique. even with the mistakes I'm proud of this I've really been enjoying using my white GellyRoll pen for outlining and sparkle-adding too!
I have a few drawings that I've made in the "Draw The User Above You" thread, I already shared the request made by @/Aquilla, but I also accepted a request by @/Mokuren to draw her OC!
lastly, I have a commission that I've been working on for my dear friend @Foreverfox and... it's just been so difficult for some reason? I have not stopped thinking about it and I want to say that I'm so sorry it's even themed so, like, it's becoming less relevant the more time goes on and that kinda sucks. I really want to make it up to you Lori, I have an idea in mind that I think you'll love and I want to draw it traditionally so that I can actually give it to you. for now I can show you the progress I made on the digital piece. I think it is going well, it's just been so difficult for me to work on for some reason. I guess that happens sometimes. I hope you can forgive me
she requested that I draw her OC Fox, and Rosie from Animal Crossing, bonking stuff with hammers while surrounded by different coloured ores and trees and whatnot. I really like this idea, and I like how this was turning out! it's just been so difficult for no reason.
I'll come back a little later and share the traditional pieces that I've worked on on the side

There is nothing that needs forgiven my dear Bug! I love the WIP sketch! Please don’t stress or worry about it at all, it’s all good whether you finish either media or not.
I've done a few traditional pieces over the last few months, and I've already shared a few here, but I have some extras that I didn't show off earlier so I'll stick them in here now
this is a drawing I did of my OC Alia sometime in mid-July. this was one of the first drawings I made in my sketchbook, besides the flag that I made for TBTWC 2024, so I was just feeling around a bit. I like how this one was going though, maybe I'll do another drawing like it down the road.
also, this was somewhat unintentional, but @/Shellzilla_515 pointed out that she is left-handed! I just embrace that as part of her character now hehehe.
the next one is some doodles that I made of Azulo in late July. I hadn't drawn him in forever, and I also wanted to use this as an opportunity to study anatomy a bit and demonstrate how different characters can have different anatomy based on their species (in this case, Jeremiah is a jerboa and Azulo is a springhare). you may notice the note that I wrote for myself; I tend to be a perfectionist with my art, but I understand that perfectionism is counter-productive, so I've been trying to get myself to just draw, even if I don't think it's "good". I need to let myself make mistakes
and then lastly is this little doodle that I actually shared in the doodles thread when I made it in late August. I would love to do more drawings with Sandy and Sterling, especially making little comic panels. I wanted to demonstrate the relationship which they have here; as you can see, Sandy might be smol but he is quite commanding hehe.
besides that, I wanted to share a few drawings I've made over the last day. I made this one yesterday, since I saw that people on TBT have been getting their snow bunny pins/plushies. the snow bunny is very special to me and it warmed my heart to see that, so I decided to draw one!
with that, I decided to draw more bunnies, but this time I drew a "sun bun" and a "moon bun" together in the snow. this is a little thing that I share with Shell, so it also means a lot to me. in this drawing the two bunnies are curiously observing each other; they've only met for the first time, yet they know that they were fated to become the best of friends.
and then, of course, I had to draw the sun loaf haha. this is actually inspired by an interaction which I had with Shell a while ago, where I showed him a drawing I made of Solmew and he said, "He's lowkey looking for his boyfriend hehehe". I like how this turned out, I've really been enjoying drawing traditionally as of late and I'll likely do more traditional drawings in the near future.

LOL just saw your post. TY again for the drawing! I'm happy you're comfortable with how you want me to draw them and I still appreciate everything about it, colors and all. Crisp and Char look so adorable!!

another submission for the "Draw The User Above You" thread! @/Suguri requested that someone draw the pokemon Ogerpon, and I jumped on it because she's one of my favourite pokemon ever! I went a little hard with this one oops, I was really getting into it I'm very happy with how she turned out though, I'm actually proud of it!
first is my entry for Pierrot's Parlour from this year's Halloween event. the task was to create a tattoo, and I know that this isn't exactly tattoo-like, but I'm not gonna lie I think it would make for a pretty cool tattoo hehehe. I chose Katrina as my subject because not only is she one of my favourite Animal Crossing NPCs, but it also just makes sense given the theme.
next is a drawing that I made for @/Balverine in the "Draw the User Above You" thread, they had a few different options but I decided to draw their character Levin, who turns into a werewolf. I feel like I messed up his right paw but I like how this turned out! and of course my recipient was very happy which is what matters most
lastly, I made another smol painting! by smol I mean that this canvas is 4x4 inches (about 10x10 cm) lol. it's honestly a little difficult to paint on such a tiny canvas, so I recently went and bought some larger canvases to paint on for future projects. but I digress, I wanted to do a painting of my floofa choof with the bluebird and heart wand! I feel like I messed up quite a bit with this one, but I still love how it turned out. I think the imperfections make it more unique, and turned this into a learning experience for me
I've kinda come up with this method for doing these paintings, though a lot of these details end up getting lost once I lay down the first layer of paint. I may try a different approach with a larger canvas.
this was the one that I showed to @/Shellzilla_515 the evening after I started it, and he rolled laughing at the "faceless bluebird"
he also said "wow Sterling is actually wearing pants!" like yes he is, he finally put pants on
a few nights ago I decided to doodle my omni fox again, and I figured, why not make more? so while I was awake for five hours during the night I made a bunch more, and now I officially have eight different pride foxes. I might make more soon because of course there are sooooo many different flags, but we'll see hehe.
it's a whole squad!!! (also pls do not use without permission!)
I had this idea in my head and absolutely needed to draw it, so I present to you... Poofesure as a cat
(a bobcat to be specific hehehe, and yes he is this close to breaking his toad wii remote with wii motion plus inside)
I'm still working on two commissions (yes I know I'm slow as a snail in molasses I'm so sorry sjdfhksd) and I really want to try something new, so I made the line art here kinda messy. I like how this looks so I'll probably apply this to the other things I'm working on. and maybe clean up the colouring a little more haha.

Okay but this is truly amazing, I love this piece. I haven't watched Poofesure in a while, but I kinda want to now! The Beef Boss hoodie and Toad Wii Remote are a nice touch, haha.
