you just post "bump" or "." on your thread and it brings it to the top so people will see it

Bumping that is okay: Should you choose to bump your threads, keep it between 1-2 bumps per day. Any more and you could get a warning for spamming or excessive bumping.

Bumping that is not okay: Bumping threads that have not had a few quality responses in over a month. You can bump old forum games in the basement if you'd like though.

That doesn't mean you should go and bump old, irrelevant topics. And one word posts, one character posts are considered spam.
