Bunny Day Event Not Starting

Hello! My bunny day even seems to not be starting. I can't find Zipper anywhere, there are no eggs in trees, etc.

I tried everything I could think of. I've never adjusted my system settings. They're set to my actual location (The Americas) and time is synced via internet (and I'm connected to the internet). I had my game open while I slept, so when I reopened it, the morning announcements played immediately with no mention of the event. I have saved & exited, closed out of the software at least 3+ times, and nothing seems to be working.

What should I do?

Sadly I have done both of those things multiple times

It says 1.1.1 on the title screen, and I checked for software updates once I closed out the first time. Told me my game was up to date.

hmm i don't really know then.. if you've left it open over night then it should be at version 1.1.1a after closing and restarting the game if it's connected to the internet. i didn't have an additional software update i had to download either, it just automatically had it at that version when i opened the game this morning.

I had the same problem. I closed the game. You have to be connected to the internet when you load the game. Since I don't have internet I turned on my hotspot and that fixed the problem.

I connected to the Internet (hotspot) while the game was on. Then I saved and shut down, and turned it back on. Zipper was on one of the beaches. I didn't turn the hotspot off until I had talked to him (just to be safe).

If it says Version 1.1.1 and not Version 1.1.1a then that's your problem. You have to link your Nintendo Account to your Switch before it'll let you join Bunny Day. Go to your User settings and link your Nintendo Account if you haven't already done so.
