Imbri
Resident Night Mare
Yesterday was Bunny Day, and I had not experienced it in either town, so I had a lot to do. The first chore was to get flowers watered in both Salem and Hollowyn. After that, I went around digging up every star, hitting all the rocks, shaking trees, etc. I ended up getting quite a few eggs, which I deposited at each Plaza, grouped by type.
The only ones I didn't have a ton of were the fishing and diving eggs. Between the two towns, I had complete sets for each character (8) and an extra for each mayor. Land and sky eggs were much more plentiful (and how happy was I that balloons didn't have furniture or tools, all of which I already have). It was nice to know I could fish eggs out of the ponds, and the earth, stone, and tree eggs reset for each character to get a full compliment.
It was kind of fun that the music remained the same throughout the day, even when you went to Main Street. When I finally went to talk to Zipper T. Bunny, I had a large pile of eggs behind me. My only complaint was that it took so long to hand over eggs. There really should be an option for "is there anything else?" so you don't have to start the whole conversation again.
Anyway, I got my basket for everyone, as well as pictures. Oh, so many pictures!
Once the baskets and pics were set aside, I started chowing down on eggs. Thank goodness you don't get a stomachache from eating so much! I saved 11 pieces of candy in each town (I wanted to keep one, the others will be mailed to each of my villagers), ate some, sold the rest, and turned in all of the winning tickets.
By the time I was done, I had two full sets of Egg series. I'm using them in my mayors' houses. I guess next year, I'll work on sets for Sapphire and Sabrina, working my way down the list until everyone has it.
I had to do a bit of traveling between towns to distribute everything, but it didn't take long. Redecorating the rooms was another matter. I really need to go through my storage and sell/give away some items.
Once I'd finished that, I ran around each town, checking on villagers.
Salem had quite a few out and about. I quickly found Beardo, who wanted to know why I didn't change into official clothing to run errands. Rocket was happy about the Night Owl ordinance. Don't get too comfy; once Weeding Day comes, it's being changed. Dizzy said sunset makes him crave potatoes au gratin. Of course it does, he's a Lazy. Everything makes him crave food. The best conversation was with Mathilda. She told me that if she seemed familiar when we first met, it was because she had done some acting. She had been on the verge of having her name in lights, but gave it all up to move to Salem. When I asked her why, she said that it was much more satisfying to live here, and the friendships she had formed were worth more than any applause. Aw.
Back in Hollowyn, I checked in on Eugene. He's still sick, but thinks the medicine is helping. Shari was outside, ready to share some gossip. Apparently, Keaton and Pekoe have a rather complex friendship, arguing, making up, and then arguing again. Knowing Keaton, it wouldn't surprise me if he's taking advantage of Eugene being laid up to try to gain some ground with Pekoe. Shari was a bit dismissive, but that could be because it was previously thought that Keaton liked her.
Welcome to the soap opera world of Animal Crossing.
Antonio was looking for the time capsule I'd buried last week. It turned out to be a green gym tee, which he gave me. Oh, joy.
After trading Egg furniture back and forth, I sold the extra pieces, which net a pretty amount of bells. I was able to pay down a huge chunk of the Dream Suite in Salem and the Windmill in Hollowyn.
