Resident Night Mare
Yesterday was a very busy day, both in and out of Salem! But more on out-of-town events in another post.
I woke up to the sound of builders leaving my house - my second room has been completed! Like the one on the left, it's still small, but once I have everything built, I'll work on expansion. I still have the back room and the basement to add on. It's going to take some time, but I'll eventually get it all done.
I'm still not certain what I want all the rooms to be. Right now, I don't have anything in the left-hand room, but I've put a few of my clothes out in the right. I think the back will be a kitchen, the front a living room. Bedroom upstairs. Basement eventually for storage - both items and turnips. I'll figure out the side rooms, eventually. It's kind of nice knowing I'll have so much space to play with!
Beardo came over for a visit. I wasn't sure if I'd like him when he first moved in, but we're becoming friends now. In fact, along with Peggy and Dizzy, he calls me "shmoopy". I've made it clear that they are not to use that nickname during official ceremonies. A mayor needs some dignity!
The second bridge has been paid off. It'll be much easier to get around now. Dizzy asked if I would consider putting in a water pump. Of course, I took it under advisement, but I think there are other things we need first. I also finished laying brick paths around town. I purposefully left some areas untouched. I bought some hibiscus on the island to lay down for borders. I'll try to keep everyone on the paths.
Sahara came to peddle her wares. I got a lovely cloud floor. Her carpets and wallpapers are expensive, but they are worth it! Later in the day, Kitt came up to me and gave me a Royal Wall, just because. She's sweet.
Today I'll be attending the dedication ceremony for the new bridge, then I'll scout out a location for the new campsite. Oh, yes! And there were more blue tarps and hammering noises on Main Street yesterday. A little bird told me that a new shop is opening up today - Kicks! I'm so happy about that, because shopping for shoes makes me a very happy girl!
