do you think calling people out is good?

i do? for the most part. if the person has a history of being problematic. but if they just go by a name they shouldn't and are attracted to a certain group of people i think its unnecessary idk

Is that Tumblr lingo?
Of course you should tell someone if they're doing something wrong.
Also, what do you mean going by a name they shouldn't? Your name is Sakura Miku. Are you Japanese?

It's fine if it's legitimate but too many people on tumblr try to call people out for tiny things / false accusations in hopes of scoring brownie points and followers.

That's not what callout culture is though.

Callout Culture is the name of when someone's publicly called out, but then people swarm and attack said person without even knowing whether the callout is true. This often happens to kids and teens on tumblr who don't know better, and then are bullied off the internet by tens of grown adults when they should have just been spoken to privately.
Not to mention the people that dig up "dirt" on celebrities bring up **** that's like 10 years old and completely irrelevant now.

callouts should only exist for confirmed pedophiles and abusers, nothing more

This is YoWorld in a nutshell. If you simply just sneeze than you'll get swarmed by dozens of players until you quit the game. Literally.

wtf are you even talking about?

I don't really like it, because it gets abused. If someone does something truly horrible, I can see why you'd do it. But a lot of people call out others over the dumbest things. "You're wearing a kimono and you're not Japanese? You're worse than Hitler! Now I'm going to make 500 hate blogs dedicated to you, while also sending you hate mail and doxxing you and your entire family!"

Plus a lot of people will just jump on the call out bandwagon without even actually checking if the information is true or not. They just see other people calling names so they want to join in.

I don't know what you mean by "go by a name they shouldn't". Is it impersonating someone, or a name that is considered to only belong to a certain racial/cultural group?
As for the second point, do you mean pedophiles, or people attracted to a certain type of people, like fit people or Asians? I can understand calling out the first (to authorities possibly), the second is pure nature so calling them out for that is stupid.

Your post could have done with some more explanation.

It depends on the situation. If the situation was to call out someone on a school confession page, and you're anonymous, honestly, you're a coward.Because you don't have the guts to walk up to the person in school,to tell them these things.Rather you write these hurtful words over the internet anonymously.Pathetic.And over a minor issue that isn't a big deal or a bad thing?

Now if you were to call out someone for cheating, and you provide their full name and all details, with proof, that,is worthy of having been said.

tumblr callouts are really lame lmao, often callouts on the internet are really biased and the people who spread them are actually not educated. that being said i think people who do bad **** should get called out, but people have to remember that people can make mistakes and change... so calling ppl out for really old stuff might not be the best but yyeah

People get called out for lies & rumors that happen 5 years ago on YoWorld. Yes VERY bad and I must say it's the worst thing that could happen to you if you go on that game and someone starts calling you out. psychopaths play on that game for real.

Using the word "problematic" instantly invalidates anything someone says because that's part of the tumblr mob culture that goes after people for the tiniest thing e.g. using the wrong pronouns by accident or not being "educated" on the new genders that are popping up every 10 seconds or for wearing henna/saris given to them by indian host families

Tumblr is disgusting when it comes to social justice because there is no actual JUSTICE. It's all a bunch of angry 15 year olds edgelords that tell people to kill themselves when someone uses a "she" pronoun by accident. They're the people that dox those that do what they consider "wrong" and go so far as to dox their FAMILY MEMBERS and call their WORK PLACE to get them fired. They're also the people that are supporting people like Alison Rapp.

Honestly just vile. Calling someone out for doing something wrong like theft or hit and run or rape or pedophilia is different. Callout culture is what I posted about above. Callout culture is disgusting and if you're doing it, you're part of the problem.
