Yes and no, but seeing as errands are such a massive thing to you (don't see why, they just annoyed me >_>) then don't bother getting the game.

if Nintendo made a crappy Mario/Zelda/AC/Metroid game i would buy it anyways ^_^

you can talk to them, but there isnt as much Villager dialouge as there was in AC GC but you can do contests with them like see who can catch a fish or bug first and there is still errands they will randomly ask you to do them.
