Can I get your thoughts on this housing placement?

I'm not very good at planning where building go or laying things out in a nice way. So I spent some time very roughly drawing out ideas and was hoping to get some opinions. I'm really sorry for the messy drawing, but hopefully you can get the idea. Just pretend like everything is symmetrical and neat, lol.

I'm trying to plan out my residential area and am trying to put the houses together, but not just in two straight rows. What do you think of this layout? In the center I was thinking about putting the fountain, some other decorations, and lots of flowers.

I think that's cute! I saw a similar layout in one of the adverts! If you put paths leading up to the fountain, you can create a sort of circle around the fountain, which looked super cute in the advert!

Is is a pretty nice distribution! Did you consider the location of the town hall? It could be on the middle (where your fountain is now) or maybe in another part of the island and you can make kind of a flower garden around it! just putting more ideas

Houses - in small villages, are usually never placed in a symmetrical fashion. Go with the flow, design your house plots with fenced yards, then plan in the roads. It will look more natural, less like it was made on a grid.

I have seen a few like that when visiting towns. I like it an considered something like it. I decided to go up on my cliff and against the cliff with a few lower houses. My reasoning was transulas might sneak up on me. That said I may change it sometime to more like your idea because it will look beautiful.
