Replying to remind myself to visit!
Is there anything in particular that you need advice on? I can’t visit because I no longer own the game, but I wanted to say that there really are no bad islands. Each island is unique and if you’re happy with your island, that’s really the only thing that matters in the end. Don’t base your opinion of your island on what someone else says is good or bad. I know you’re just looking for critique, but I feel we are all caught up in comparing ourselves to others. Just have fun with your island. 🏝 I’m sure it’s great!

Just remember don't feel bad about your island. There are no such things as a "perfect island" and its never best to compare yourself to others. Just make your island however you feel stands out to you. If you do want feedback my advice is make your island a bit more open and not so cluttered. If you want inspiration you can look at my islands in the signature because for me I like to have my island more open and explored.
As for themes I don't take it too seriously since I keep it pretty basic based on my personality in real life. Stuff that I like and stuff that I always relate to in real life that I feel really made me go "wow that was amazing". To get to the point its your island and however you make it should make you happy and not sad just because you see other people's islands.

I very much liked your island. In particular the houses for Maxie, Max, and Storage. These houses have themes that I've been thinking of incorporating into my own island for a few months now. I'm also impressed on how you were able to turn the tiny side rooms into lofts. I also liked how open and organized your city roads were. Personally, I didn't find them to be packed.
If you would like an area to improve on, I would recommend the large forest area. Don't get me wrong. I loved how some of the paths curved back into a loop and how some paths you had to hop over the waterfalls in order to pass through (almost like a game). However, the trees and hybrids scattered here and there made it a bit confusing to navigate. You could try clustering some of the flowers next to some trees. Kind of how you did near Residential Services.
For example:
I also didn't see a lot of bushes and weeds in this area. Was it intentional? I think that adding them can help make it look more like a forest.
