Can the Wii do this?

Now... Street Fighter IV has quickly skyrocketed to one of my most wanted games of 2008/9. Recently, one lone screenshot was released.

Apart from my obvious disappointment that the game is not in full 2D... do you guys think this is something the Wii can do? I don't think so... but not because of the graphics. Graphically, it doesn't look too impressive... HOWEVER! What about the controls, eh? The Wii controller - and, heck, classic controller - both have too little buttons to handle the intricate button combinations that have become oh-so-popular in the fighting game genre nowadays.

A part of me hopes I'm wrong, though... what do you guys think?

While I don't think this will come to Wii (I might be wrong though) I don't see why the CC couldn't handle Button Configurations. There are 4 shoulder buttons (granted 2 of them are insanely difficult to reach), 2 analog sticks, a D-Pad, and 4 regular buttons. That's pretty much the norm isn't it? Or am I missing something?

I don't see how the wiimote and nunchuck couldn't handle it let' see... analog stick, d pad, A button, B button, Z button, C button, +, -, plus the ability to add motion in if wanted.... I don't see how you wouldn't have enough to work it....

The Wii controller works very poorly with games that use the D-Pad AND 1, 2 buttons along with the + and - buttons. It's very hard to constantly go from one set of buttons to the other.

I LOVED Street Fighter II, and if I had a PS2, I'd be all over the various incarnations of Street Fighter III. I really hope this comes to Wii...

Me too, as long as the game doesn't turn out like DBZBT2 did for the Wii (even though it was still an okay game), with all the really odd motions you had to make to attack and things...

See though, that's why I want it to use the classic controller if it'd come to Wii. That would be the best way... The Wii mentality just doesn't work well with fighting games. Even SSBB... most of the control schemes use regular buttons, no motions.

If Capcom wanted it on the Wii, they would take the time and effort on using the Wii's capabilities to the max. Capcom isn't really known to do generous things, but if it sells well it will come.
